4th, what should I get as a stand? I need one that holds a few because I plan on getting more than just one synth. At the moment I have a 61 key midi controller but I'm gonna get the MS-20 mini too.

(Assuming you mean keyboard stands)
My local sore didn't much selection for multi tier stands, just walk in and ask to see their selection for multi-tier keyboard stands and purchase the one that works with your budget the best.

Also do get one that can support a couple hundred pounds of weight, I myself am a skinny guy so the first thing I did with my key board stand was to do a hand stand thing on top of it.

Beware that the ms-20 is a small synth and may not fit on a regular stand. Either place on a table or get some sort of wood plank to lay across the stand for the synth to lay on.

I'm actually using wooden planks to support my laptop and turntables on an old keyboard stand :P

I found an MS2000B on eBay for $499. I think I might get that while I can and then get the MS-20 Mini later on.

It'll definitely be a 'better' first synth to own as it is capable of a full range of sounds (pads - leads - bass - weird stuff for sampling) where as the MS-20 can't provide all those sound groups but the sounds it can make will be fantastic. I can also send you my patches I've made and vice versa!

Well I still have to OK it with my parents, but if I can get it that'll be cool :D

So how about sequencers? Since the MS-20 Mini has CV I'm thinking about saving up again and getting a Doepfer Dark Time sequencer.

Ask your self why you need/want to sequence it without a computer.

The Dark Time is a capable sequencer but will you actually use it when you make music or will that money be better spent elsewhere? Stuff like studio monitors and room treatment are just as necessary to making better music.

lol I really need a set of monitors (maybe rockits?) but I just like synths and sequencers for fun to play with ^-^
and if I did have one then yeah, I'd use it in my tracks.

I feel the same way about my Minibrute. I still haven't got the necesary gear :P

Kinda sucks though, I keep getting these ridiculously good sounds from it and I can't actually use them or store them.

I dunno, it'd be good for droney pads or something that you could use in a breakdown.

It had a nice life for its class of synthesizers.

I wonder if they will still offer the CV out mods for it after its completely discontinued, I wanted to get that done.
