Yea it's the best to use if you're making a synth that uses a 4093 chip... This is just for the prototype though... The ones I'll be selling will have a single pcb within them. The prototype however with have the main board and some strip board... Not sure on how many.

Modulation circuit mostly ready to be soldered
The transistor will not be soldered as it is the wrong kind...
The LED will not be soldered as it needs to be turned into a vactrol still

Just something I'd like to note... I won't be making ones of these to sell straight away. I will build the prototype to make sure everything works, then go about designing the proper version, once that is done I will build one of the proper version, but I will get multiple of the PCB printed, to make sure it is how I want and stuff, then I will most probably work out the price and sell the first one. Once it is received by the person and they are satisfied I will go about working on creating more. Please note that the first person will most likely be someone close-ish to me... and I may not sell the first one just get them to test it... So yea once the prototype is built it will be quite sometime until the actual production version is built.

What kind of sounds will your Synth be able to make? Will it stand out from what's popular status quo?

I'm still new to hardware synths so...

How many kinds of waves are there and how do different waves generate sounds? How do oscillators generate these waves? Why can different synthesizers generate different sounds with the same wave?

my guess is imperfections / slight changes to the different types of waves ie making a saw a little round in the middle part

3. Why can different synthesizers generate different sounds with the same wave?

1. There are commonly four waveforms you see on the average synth; saw, square, sine, and triangle. These are considered the 'simple waveforms' and I'm sure you have heard of them before.

How they generate sound is a matter of physics, sound (when traveling though the air) is a small change in pressure and these waves represent the speed/shape/amount of that change. That is the simplest was I can think of explaining it.

2. In the analog realm these oscillators create a voltage that bounces up and down in the shape of the desired wave. How they do it exactly, I don't know, all that matters to me is that they make the fluctuating voltage.

Running that voltage through a speaker will make the speaker vibrate in the same shape as the voltage.

3. Those fundamental shapes can vary in small, miniscule ways that are only audible to the ear. Like a saw wave may not have perfectly straight lines; example: the ramped line can often be found curved and that right there is one way that saw will sound different from another.

It'll sound a lot different... As this is a NAND Schmidt gate synth the oscillators function different than the ones in reaktor

Droner is coming along all good. Just gotta go and get a couple more components. First of the modulation circuits has the resistors soldered to it :D
