Well I don't really have a studio, unless you can consider my bedroom a studio, and a modest one at that. Anyway, here you go:

Hardware:
-Dell XPS 17r series with i7 processor (was originally for gaming but the extra processing power comes in handy for rendering music ^ ^)
-Klipsch pro media 2.1 computer speakers - these things pack a surprising wallop.
-Some generic JVC model headphones

Software:
-FL Studio 10 (and I'm starting to learn Ableton)
-Harmless, KarmaFX Synth, NI Massive, Sytrus (I have more, but these are the ones I use)

Instruments:
-Cort Acoustic Guitar
-Epiphone SG Electric Guitar
-Lakai concert ukulele

Amp:
-Roland Cube 30 - this thing belts like a motherf***er

Hoping to buy an MPK mini in the near future.

I intend to get z3ta+ once I buy FL studios. I have a quick question though; I want to buy the full version, but I'm also upgrading to an SSD soon. Because of that, I will need to reinstall the OS, but will I be able to use FL on the new computer or will I have to buy it again? I don't want to buy it twice, but I'd rather not torrent it because I want to support the developer.

Also, are there any programs that you guys would recommend for orchestral-electro music? I'm also thinking of recording my guitar later, even though I'm not that good.

One more thing, I've been a brony for over a year now, but I don't have that many brony friends. Would any of you like to add me on Steam? My username is Acknown3.

The way Image-Line works is that you buy an FL Studio license with your account. The license comes in form of a registry file you'll have to import (which is really easy, just doubleclick on the file). You can download that registry file from the website, after logging into your account. The registry file will never expire and will be valid for all future updates, too.
To use it, you have to download and install the FL Studio demo, and then apply that registry file. You'll be all set :)

So, no, you won't have to buy it again.

Cakewalk has a huge spring sale, 15 downloads for 19.99

That sounds good to me :D

My "Studio," if you can call it that, is rather pathetic, but it gets the job done.

  • Presonus Audio Box Interface
  • Sure SM7B Microphone
  • Yamaha APX500 acoustic
  • Jackson electric (couldn't tell you the model number)
  • FL Studio 10 Producer edition
  • "Hardcore" plugin
  • A bunch of other plugins that came with FL Studio

That's about it. I'm looking through everyone else's hardware sets and feeling kind of sad and pathetic now. ;~;
It ain't Brony Music without a blaring and intrusive airhorn sample.
