Alright, so I don't really get why everybody is complaining about how "cruddy" they think that their studio is. Mine is probably worse, but I'm not complaining.

Hardware:
>A good family computer from this unknown store that sells pretty much nothing but computers called "Milwaukee PC". That place sells a really nice laptop for only $1000, but sells at other bigger companies like Wal-Mart or Best Buy for about $1300+. I love Milwaukee PC.
>A Gateway 1440x900 720p HD monitor.

Software:
>LMMS (I don't really use it anymore)
>FL Studio 10 trial version. Hoping to upgrade to FL Studio 10 Signature Bundle as soon as I get the money
>NI Massive (still paying off my dad, since he bought it for me during the 50% off sale)
>Synth1
>Bitcrusher thingy
>Anything that comes with the FLS10 trial and when I get it, the signature bundle

Actual instruments:
>A spanish piano (I think it's spanish anyways) that my mom got from her parents when she moved out or got married

As you can tell, you're all ungrateful people.

My lame-ass setup :D

Hardware:
-A somewhat Frankensteined Dell desktop computer originally used by an Activision employee (2.66 GHz quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, two hard drives with about 300GB each, some old but somehow powerful video card for the gaming that I never use it for anymore)
-Akai LPK-25 (25-key USB keyboard, oh yeah)
-Sony MDR-7506 headphones (very, very good quality... but uncomfortable)

Software:
-FL Studio 10 Producer Edition (for musicing)
-Reason 5 (for ReWiring :D )
-GoldWave (for cutting and editing samples, and exporting .mp3s)
-NI Massive
-Sylenth1
-Arturia Minimoog V
-Z3ta+
-NI Guitar Rig
-WOW Filter
-iZotope Vinyl
-Melodyne

Instruments:
-Some acoustic guitar I don't even know how to play
-The sound of pure, concentrated madness, which I sample liberally in all of my songs
Youtube -- Soundcloud -- Tumblr -- Bandcamp (new album out!)

I can't feel my brain.

Most of my sequencing comes out of Logic Pro 9. Sample chopping and glitchiness comes out of the best program built for that (IMHO): Ableton Live 8 Suite. I have an army of third-party plugins (currently numbering just short of 600), and Reason 5 is basically in there just for how awesome Thor and Kong are. I also use MaxMSP for some more complex sound design/effect-building, as well as AudioMulch for messing with premade loops in a live setting. I tried Renoise for a while, too. I hated it. Wave editing and mastering happens in Adobe Audition CS6, and any actual musical notation is done in Sibelius 7. As for actual synth plugins, I have a weakness for old monaural SoundFonts I can modify to the point of becoming unrecognizable, as well as Sylenth1, NI Massive, reFX Nexus and Vanguard, and NI Reaktor 5 for building my own synths in Logic, where MaxMSP has no home.
I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up...

Im bad with names... but here we go

Physical stuff/ instruments:
> Drum kit: kick, 2 snares (1 broken, fixing it), high tom, mid tom, flor tom, ride cymbal, crash cymbal, high-hat cymbal, high-hat hat (I wish), fancy chair to that, and a bunch of drumsticks. Recently got double kick pedals, still getting to know those. As for brands of all these things? No idea! Got them all 2nd hand when I was like 6 years old!
> Bass guitar, again no Idea about the specifications on that, rarely use it for production
> SBC MD150 mic (cheap as hell, but ok for voice I gues)
> HP laptop... It's a good computer...
> CR-8080 SE sterio amp (not for guitars, for muzics). 100 W, I think.
> Dads old home built sterio (3 way sterio, knee-high, 9" bass on both of them, no vent), maby not the best for monitors but they are loud and they are big.
> One of the speakers from moms old sterio (2 way sterio, a bit smaller than dads, 8" bass)
> A vinyl player I intend to get some cool samples from old vinyls, but havent goten to that yet
> MIDI-keyboard, I read "Midiplus" and "49 origin". Im guessing that means something to somebody. Its got loads of fancy knobs and slides, but I hardly use it anyway :/ *I realy should learn to play the piano better
> Cheap MIDI-drums (feel like crap playing them, so I realy dont)
> Sampeling drums with crappy built in microphones is very fun :/

Software:
> FL studio 10 producer edition
> All the stuf that comes with FL studio 10 producer edition
> Shit load of samples from all over the internets if that counts as software

It's sad really. But I can't just drop hundreds of dollars right now on a computer. I haven't run into any problems with it, and as I stated I use trackers which were run back in the DOS era. And Celeron 420 is one of the better singles cores; faster than a 2.7 ghz Pentium 4 because of the conroe architecure.

IDGAF. I'm not a hardcore gamer, or anything. It works for me, I could care less about what someone else thinks of it. It's not as if it freezes up on me, or is painful to use. The key to making music on an older computer is synth 1, and lots of it :P
