Okay, i'm still kind of unsure about what kind of mic would be good for me, as a beginner doing acoustic guitar and possibly vocals. Would a decent dynamic mic be good?

If you mainly do acoustic guitar with it, I would rather recommend a condenser one then, just be carefull with the room. 1.) Put the mic very close to your guitar, as close as possible, preferrably infront of the soundhole.
2.) Noise gate in your DAW. Try out a little bit, until you get rid of annoying background noises, but still can play silent notes properly.

Thanks man :D

Wait, do I need to buy that separately?

50ft is a lot unless you plan to record in a separate room from that which your workstation lies in (soundcard/computer), 20ft will be good to get you comfortable anywhere in the average room. I would also opt to buy a cable in a store near you so you don;t have top worry about shipping but that's up to you.

Yeah, I suppose so, I just want to make sure it's far enough away from my computer because the fan on it is pretty noisy.

yeah, that's the one I'm looking at right now, although my dad is taking me to go look at some audio interfaces from the two local music stores in town soon on saturday.

I'll report back as to whether or not I've decided to buy one that I'm shown at the music stores. But for now, the Scarlett 2i2 looks pretty awesome.

Its got my stamp of approval, if that means anything to you. Although I personally would get more ins/outs than you currently need right now so you have room to expand without needing additional hardware.

Yeah, the Scarlett 2i2 is by far the cheapest audio interface that you could get that has 24bit/96kHz quality. It only has one set of connections for a set of studio monitors, so if you got two sets, you've have to switch between them manually. This is the cheapest reliable purchasing website. It says 149.99 but it's really only 109.00
