How to Make a Beatport Chart Topper

Here is a really helpful and informative guide on how to compose and make a kick-ass song that can guarantee you a spot on the top 10 on beatport in just 4 minutes! This video will show you how to sound like the amazing brony musician ArtAttack as well, since he follows this same video guide in some of his more recent work.

I know it looks super difficult, but don't worry! Now you're ready to make some killer music bro!

(I'm posting this here in the composition section to educate others about what to avoid in their music.)

It's amazing how many of these comedic music production videos you can find.

My favorite is this one

I love videos like that though because, in a way, they do a better job of teaching by showing you what NOT to do :p.

Indeed. Here's raw uncut footage of Metallica's "Death Magnetic" being mastered.

I should also point out the idiotic practice of making whatever genre of music is trending for the sole reason of the genre being popular at the time. We see lots of producers do this, in the community and outside of it. It's not impressive if you make any genre of music because it is popular at the time, and not making it sound any different. It's like jumping on a meme bandwagon, but with music. You just look desperate for attention and incapable of coming up with any of your own ideas. COUGH COUGH ARTATTACK COUGH SNEEZE

Deadmau5 wrote a lengthy article on tumblr about producers who just make everything they can instead of what they want, and I agree with it still.

It is especially foolish with a genre like Big Room House, considering how easy it is to "compose" and how generic and boring the genre is.

Damn that's too easy. Too bad I never use the vengeance samples I have otherwise I'd be right in.

Is it this one? I figured it'd be a lengthier one.
