<Username & Gender> FlyingNinjaBannanas or MC Calamity - Male

<Vocal Range> Bass to Baritone

<Ability level> 7/10 Singing; 6/10 Rapping

<Genres/Specialty > Besides rap, nothing specific. I won't do pure country or opera. Not sure on screamo/metal.

<Audio Quality> Blue Yeti USB mic with Pop Filter.

<Vocal Sample> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46225227/Want%20it%20Need%20it%20Cover.wav
A Cover of Want It Need It I did recently specifically for this thread. This is mostly done in the higher register of my voice. Which is why it might be so-so. Hoping to update this with something that's not a cover. Working on rap sample now.

<Easiest way to contact you> Skype (Same as my Username), Youtube (<---), or Tumblr (Sig)

<Anything else> I might now have much experience with collaboration, but we all have to start somewhere. I am very unbiased as to who I collab with. Just keep me updated and everything will be good. Looking forward to some fun collaborations.

Updated, I also finally got around to recording myself singing so I added a sample. Hopefully the power of dropbox will mean when I get home it'll auto-upload, if the link is broken it just means I haven't properly uploaded it yet. :)

Hmm. Totally new here but this seems like my kind of place.

<Username & Gender> Insanefoo - Male

<Vocal Range> Tenor

<Ability level> 8-9/10 singing ~ 7-8/10 rap I was quite the soloist a few years ago in high school. I haven't done much of anything structured since then (but like most people I still sing along with songs day-to-day), but I'm still quite good.

<Genres/Speciality> I've never tried my hand at specialty methods of singing (opera, screamo, etc), most anything "regular" (pop, rock, a cappella, etc) I can handle just fine. I'm also quite capable at rap.

<Audio Quality> I record with a Blue Yeti mic and Adobe Audition 3.0

<Vocal Sample> Soundcloud and YouTube have a variety of stuff I've done (mostly out of boredom). Also this short thing I made for Mic the Microphone's birthday.

<Easiest way to contact you> Skype (Insanefoo) and Steam (Insanefoo) are your best bets, I have them running nearly 24/7 so leave a message if I don't respond right away.

<Anything else> I'm not a particularly quick lyricist, but given enough time I can usually come up with something decent. I'm up for pretty much anything, not busy outside of a regular 40 hour work week. Plenty of free time to work on music.

<Username & Gender> IdLike2BeATree-Male

<Vocal Range> Baritone/Tenor II. Low D (comfortably, but i go lower) to High C (again, i can go higher, but i go into falsetto at High E). I mainly rap, but i have plenty of experience singing in musicals, choir, in the hallways at school, etc :D

<Ability level> I am a good soloist. 7/10 with 8/10 being lead singer in a musical. Rap wise, id say i'm a 7. My delivery with singing or rapping is always very good, i have a fantastic ear for notes (singing) and beats (rapping). Lung Capacity is WELL above average.

<Genres/Speciality> I have done everything. Singing wise, long/slow/happy/sad/mlp. With Rap, i enjoy slower raps, but i can rap up to 400 syllables a minute and still find rhythm. Im looking to get experience writing lyrics for raps and songs, which is what i want to excel at (right now im good with writing rap lyrics, but havent produced a song with singing vocals that has original lyrics).

<Audio Quality> Presonus Audio Interface, Condenser Mic, Standard Headphones. Along with Adobe Audition and Studio One for vocal compression and what not.

<Vocal Sample> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m4QkZj02dw

<Easiest way to contact you> Skype is "itstibblesg"

<Anything else> I am very very very dedicated. I will get anything assigned to me (lyrics, vocals, etc) done within a few days. I sacrifice many things in my life to try to make better brony music.

Postby MEMJ0123 » 18 Oct 2012 08:14

This sounds like a good idea! I'll throw my name in. I'm MEMJ0123 and I'm a girl! :D

<Vocal Range> I think of myself as a soprano, but I can sing in an alto range as well. If you want specific notes, I can generally sing from C3-G6 (octave below middle C, up to the third G above middle C)

<Ability level> Well, I've been singing all my life, and have had training in various forms (classical, performance, harmonies). I like to think I'm a good singer lol. I'll let others be the judge of that though :)

<Genres/Speciality> Musical theatre and opera. I have a darker tone, so this is where my voice is most suited. However I've been told I'm also good at jazz/blues *shrug*. I can also sing folk songs. I'm not so great at light-hearted pop music, though.

<Audio Quality>
Mic: Samson C01U. I record in Audacity (yeah, I know. But hey, for a free program it's not bad!). I also have Adobe Audition, but I'm still getting the hang of that program.

<Vocal Sample> Here's a sample of my lower range, posted on tumblr: http://memj0123.tumblr.com/post/3271610 ... asnt#notes
Here's a sample of my highish range, posted on youtube (it's an older sample, but here you go anyway) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOPPbcf ... el&list=UL
Here's a sample of me singing Art of the Dress, doing an impression of all the mane 6 (some better than others lol) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH3jGGVzrYQ
And here's a recent trance song by TeiThePony I provided the backing vocals for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2-7Ue2 ... ure=g-like

Tumblr: http://memj0123.tumblr.com/

<Anything else> I also voice-act in the community. I'm mostly known for doing a Celestia impression (and... certain fan-created alter egos *cough*) but I also do Rarity, Spike, and Luna on a regular basis. Y'know, if you ever need a singing impression of those four characters. :P

<Username & Gender> Soft D. String DeHooves of Ghelded Kultz (I'm just the vocalist), also known as Ganondox/Male

<Vocal Range> I don't know, I sing tenor in church choir.

<Ability level> I've heard people say I'm good and others say I suck. I'm going with suck as I tried to sing a cover of 'Chance' by Savatage and I sung half of it well, but completely butchered the other half.

<Genres/Speciality> I'm willing to sing anything. My favorite genres to listen to are Rock and Metal, but that doesn't mean I'm the best at singing those.

<Audio Quality> See vocal sample. I recorded that on a Macbook's built-in mike in Audacity.

<Vocal Sample> http://soundcloud.com/geryondice/random-vocals I was just improvising random crap for this. a few lines are from actual songs, but the majority of that was made off the top of my head while singing.

<Easiest way to contact you> [email protected]

<Anything else> I'd love to be featured in other people's songs, just send me an email and telling me what you are thinking about doing and what you want me to do.

<Username & Gender> Nine Volt, male

<Vocal Range> Baritone, not sure of the exact range though

<Ability level> Rapping, 7.5/10. Singing, 5/10. I'm much better at rapping, not amazing but pretty good. For example, I can pretty much flawlessly cover Pony Swag, Guncakes, or Beyond Her Tomb. I have a pretty good lung capacity.

<Genres/Speciality> Really fast rapping, singing solos

<Audio Quality> a guitar hero mic (It's actually pretty damn good, check my youtube for examples), recording with Audacity.

<Vocal Sample>
I DON'T HAVE ANY EXAMPLES OF SINGING OR RAPPING, SORRY 3:

<Easiest way to contact you> MLR or Soundcloud.

<Anything else> I'm completely willing to do voice acting for people. I'm fairly good, I think. Impressions I can do well are: Russian, stereotypical homosexual, the announcer from Halo (the old one, not the one from 4), Big Mac, and of course I have my actual voice.

<Username> Penumbrah/Trip Thyns. I'm male

<Vocal Range> Baritone-Tenor

<Ablility Level> I've never really had any lessons, but I'd like to think I'm a pretty decent singer. I can match pitches and sustain notes to an extent. I'm still working on techniques and exercises to improve myself.

<Genres/Specialties> I'm pretty versatile. I can sing in just about any genre of rock, pop, electronic, acoustic, metal, rap, etc. My best skills would have to be Rock, Metal and Rap though. I have a pretty clean voice for softer songs and I can also growl decently for heavier songs. My screaming's been improving as well. I rap fast as well if that's needed. I also have a pretty low natural voice for narrations and can do a decent Flutterguy impression.

<Audio Quality> I use an MXL V63M Condenser mic with pop filter to record my vocals, an Onyx Blackjack recording interface and I usually record into either FL Studio or Adobe Audition.

<Vocal Sample> Here's an example of my singing.

Vocal Range: Tenor/Alto
Ability Level: Untrained and no lessons, but decent nonetheless
Genre/Specialities: I mostly only do vocal processing, but sometimes can do a soft Owl City, breathy voice. I can sing for any genre as long as it's either of those two.
Setup: Blue Yeti Mic for hardware, and Edison for recording software.
Samples: (I mostly do covers for practise. Also, I don't normally do non-processed vocals, so I don't have any samples for those, sorry.)

Easiest way to contact: I'm always on Skype, so just message me there. Otherwise, just PM me and I'll get to you when I can.
Anything else: I'm not very good at creating my own lyrics or vocal melodies, but I may give suggestions for either. In most cases, if anyone wants me to sing for them, I'd prefer they provide some melodies they have in mind, and some rough lyrics to work with.

Why hasn't this been sticky'd yet?

I haven't tried recording myself singing since I contributed to the Massive Smile project. I'll take a whack at covering a song and maybe put my info down here, as I wouldn't mind offering my voice (assuming it's any bit decent after choir this semester)

This is a great idea!

<Username & Gender> bigBerd, male

<Vocal Range> I'm pretty sure I'm a baritone. I'm really not that good at singing.

<Ability level> I'd consider myself a skilled emcee. If you need a rapper, I am your man.

<Genres/Speciality> Hip-hop, all kinds of it. I can spit a nasty flow, formulate a dope rhyme, and tell a decent story.

<Audio Quality> Quality is passable. I use an MXL condenser with a Blue Icicle (piece of shit) interface.

<Username & Gender>vaceslav. Male.

<Vocal Range> I'm honestly not sure. I don't have a super great low end, but I can get some pretty high falsetto going. (I mostly only use this for annoying my band mates though)

<Ability level> I was a 8/10 a while a ago, but I've only started singing seriously again recently, and although I'm looking to get back to where I was, I'm maybe a six at the moment.

<Genres/Speciality> I'm best at rock vocals. From ballads to heavy rock. I am useless at rapping and my growl is mediocre at best.

<Audio Quality> I'm using a JTX NX7 mic into an M-Audio fast track and recording with ableton.
