Help to choose a MIDI keyboard for production

I'm planning to start a basic studio in my room, so according to a friend who works as DJ and EDM producer, he recommended to buy an Alesis controller, I think they are cheaper and more practical than buying Akai or Korg controllers or synthezisers.
I just wonder if I purchase a Alesis Q25 controller, would it be fine enough to compose eurobeat, dubstep and EDM songs with FL studio? or which other Midi controller can be fine for composing and making such those remixes?
