Didn't notice until after I create this thread, as title suggests. Congratulations as well, Freewave.

One question though, guys. Are we just going to have admins, or are we going to appoint some mods? I sorta think we're going to stick with the admin promotions and not promote any new mods, haha.

mods are meant to take some of the pressure off of the admin(s), so it's up to them to decide what is needed.

Yeah I'm sorry Fry hasn't made an official announcement yet but here's what he said in the mlr mod skype chat:

"The moderator issue does need addressing, and I think I have two eager members of our circle who are willing to put trust in fellow members to ensure that the community remains a peaceful place. I hereby entrust Freewave and Kyoga with the honorary Administrator titles and employ them as moderator electors for the provided forums."

There will be some new changes rolling in soon. We've already posted some recommendations we think that will help. Keep your eyes peeled. :D

Maybe as a precaution? I mean, it took long for CFry to unfry his circuits, and he was the only one capable of the most drastic changes to the board (afaik).

And I second Conduit's notion, although I do think we can use a few more mods. If necessary appointed to a certain sub-forum but eh.
(MLR Social Events sub-forum anyone?)

EDIT - some forums I know just made a thread with a kind of survey in it that you could fill in if you'd want the admins there to consider making you a mod.
With questions like "What can you add to the forum?" and "Would you abuse your powers to have a little fun and to what extent?" etc.

I'll be honest both Kyoga and I championed to get us some more controls here because Cfry wasn't around and because Stars is admittedly rather inactive with his own activities (but still an admin). We were both seeing a lot of things on MLR that making changes and fixes would help keep the forum more organized and efficient. Only way to do some of these was with admin control (or to bug other people who weren't around). We really appreciate that Circuit has allowed this promotion to occur.

I'm in luck because Kyoga is a natural fit for the position, we get along very well, and we both like to stay busy and visit MLR a lot. We've both created some things off-site that will work well with MLR (we're both part of fimmusic for example) and we wish to continue getting MLR back on track, respected, and growing again. Having 2 admins makes that process more democratic and allows us to get much more accomplished. I am sorry if 4th got left out :( but I'm hoping one of the things we can do in the next round is get the mlr mods working and talking together much more actively on skype so we are much more aware of each other, have a unified presence, and be working together. We will see a few more mods added to the site in the future and we have a few possible candidates already we've discussing. We will still respond back to a flagged thread just as fast as any moderator, so don't worry that this promotion will interfere with day to day flamewars suddenly breaking out. ;)

For the record I would not have wanted to be an admin, I most definitely would have turned it down, moderator was enough for me. Freewave has admin written all over him and if he wants kyoga there too, I trust his decisions.
