Musician pet peeves

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

We get that Dr Drum is stupid, let's just leave it at "Dr Drum is my pet peeve" and not launch into the usual cliche jokes. I'm stopping them before they start.

Doesn't that kind of mean you have a pet peeve with yourself?

Pet peeves:
1. those 10 year olds who are like "yeah man I'm a pro dj" and they use fl studio demo version
2. how the only thing I see when I go onto soundcloud is either dubstep, house, or drum and bass
3. When people don't know the difference between jamaican dub and dubstep
4. When people don't know what you mean when you say you make electronic music
5. The piano on garageband
6. Soundcloud auto-follow bots
7. deadmau5
8. computer-restricting parents
9. people who want to make music with you but they have no talent
10. people who want to make music with you but they have no talent and then they take all the credit when it's done

I understand that some people don't like certain musicians/artist but when people add it to their per peeve list it's a bit disrespectful the the person

You should totally burst into some loud sappy love song when they ask, just to show them how silly of a request that was. Make sure that everyone in the whole building can hear you.

Whenever any of the kids in my youth group ask me to sing I just burst into the opening of "circle of life" as loud as I can with dramatic motions to match; they learned to stop asking pretty soon afterward

I've started doing loud obnoxious renditions of Wrecking Ball and Call Me Maybe. I get asked surprisingly often at college; but never twice by the same person!

you can't put a song up without a genre tag, it autoselects sometimes (how many times do I have to type breakbeat before it stops thinking "bit"?) and you get skewed as fuck results when you click them. You can only get the most popular. I think I'd honestly prefer to choose between most popular this day/week/month/year and the most recent instead of whats just the most popular in general.

Don't even start about having to confirm every tag with enter.

Ok, yeah, the new soundcloud tagging system bothers me to all hell now. The explore section specifically, because when I click on the "Electronic" section, it's just every single genre pooled into one mess, and about 14/15 people put a proper genre tag on, so you pretty much have to listen to every single song to find the good ones of the genre you like.

My biggest pet peeve is not having my FL windows arranged perfectly... and I mean PERFECTLY. Every time one gets fucked up, I think long and hard about switching DAW's... not really, but it seems to keep FL in line for a few hours =P
