The worst I got was when snorkeling shirtless... And the burn was so bad I couldn't wear shirts for like 2 weeks... And then it started peeling :/

Norway is so cold these days. Freezing temperatures combines with wind and high air humidity makes winters in my town kinda unbearable. Luckily I've got a big wool coat to shield me from the worst, though my face is completely frozen after going to the store...

How's the winter treating the rest of you guys?

Urgh, there's been a brutal cold snap here in Ohio, we've been hitting -20°F (-29°C) consistently for the past week. I can't imagine living anywhere in Scandinavia, it seems like you guys put up with this stuff all the time.

Also on a side note. Apparently the Moog Sub 37 is only going to be a limited edition... Unless there is a normal version they're releasing but they only have the limited edition made at the moment... But that means the normal one won't look as cool... Because no wooden side panels

The grand ol' state of Massachusetts in the US of A. East coast, part of New England. Noted for its bad drivers.

Never heard that one. All I usually hear is "masshole" and i love it because I dont really like this state very much. Most of the rest of the state's stereotypes (like "pahk the cah in hahvahd yahd") are about Boston.

Also now i'm pissed because my list about the states was in the spam thread and got deleted god fucking diddly dammit kyoga how will the non-americans even find out what wisconsin is even about

Also also I'm kinda curious as to what states people who aren't American or Canadian actually know. Please tell me.

I'll try to do Australia's states. There's like 8 I think. Here we go:
Tasmania
Capital Territory
Queensland
Kingsland
New South Wales
New North Scotland
Western Territory
Outback

I'm pretty sure I got them all.

States I know of in America, alphabetical order:

Alabama
Alaska
Arizona
California
Florida
Hawaii (Not sure if it counts)
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi (Unless it's just that river. In which case, I'm sorry)
Nebraska
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
Oklahoma
Oregon
Pennsylvania
South Carolina (Easy one there)
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Wisconsin

I couldn't place them on a map, but it's not too bad for a Norwegian, I feel. 27/50 is over half

Yep, all those are right. Hawaii is a state and Mississippi is as well :)

Now I'm kinda curious as to where someone from somewhere as far away as Norway would've heard all these random states. I honestly don't know how much news from/about America is even broadcast over there if at all. But like seriously we don't even hear about shit in Nebraska or Kentucky (actually like half the states) in the states unless you live in that state.

Why I remember these states

- Nebraska is a state I seem to have picked up on for being boring XD
- Kentucky = KFC.
- Kansas, Arizona and Alabama are (terrible) bands
- I watch Supernatural, and tend to pick up on the state names
- That Animaniacs song with Wacko singing all 50 states was pretty catchy
- We get some news from you guys, usually if it's front page stuff for you. They always include the states
- My brain is weird...

Edit: Is Georgia a state? In that case, I've got one more. "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"

There's a few states that are generally seen as boring actually (well, might not be surprising considering there's 50 states). North Dakota and Wyoming (which are very small in population; there are numerous cities with more people than those entire states) are generally at the top of that list. Then there's Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa, and South Dakota. And Maine, sorta, which is the whitest state in the country. Fitting for the most northeast.

I just found out that there are more people in Massachusetts than all of Norway. Ha. Hahahaha. :P
Although there are more people in New York City than all of Massachusetts, so...
And California has more people than the 21 least populous states combined...

Norway is pretty small by population. We're mainly clustered in the larger cities ("large" bein a very relative term) with huge areas of forest and mountains where nobody sane lives.

Largest city is of course Oslo, which is the capital. about 600 000+ people live there.
A terribly built, socially cold and smelly city. I hate it...

Bergen clocks in at number two, with about 250 000 people. I really like Bergen. The city looks beatiful, with equal parts modern buildings and old wood structures. The docks are particularly charismatic, where every building is just a little bit crooked. Overlooking the city is a pretty big mountain called Montana, with a gondola leading up to it. Shame the city's shrouded in mist most of the time and the rain is legendary for being bad.

My home city of Trondheim is number three on the list, with a modest population of about 160 000 people. A lot of them are students from other areas, since Trondheim houses the best university in all of Norway. We've got a lot of history, old buildings and our pride and joy: Nidarosdomen. Nidarosdomen is Norway's only gothic cathedral and though small by international standards, it's pretty impressive in context with the rest of the city.

We are also the place where visiting musicians are most pleased with the crowd, seeing as how we go completely mental at concerts. I'm personally looking forward to performing at Ladehammerfestivalen, a local open-air music festival spanning 2 days and about 20 bands.
