*waves at Simon*

I know about the delay, and I know it sucks, but at the moment I got a lot going on, and this isn't a high priority on my to-do list.
I have, though, worked a little more on the site since last time.
If I haven't already, I'll put the link to the site here since I don't think there's any reason to withhold it.
http://mlratw.oscar.nl

Keep in mind, there are still bits of work to be done. But at least you can fill something in in the password form, and get redirected to an error because it's a wrong input :P

I'll have a lot more time starting Nov 21st. I'll see if I can work more on it starting that day.

Hey. Hey guys.

THE SITE IS DONE.

Well, at least, the working. I still gotta add a little text here and there.
But that's all!

EDIT - removed to prevent spam.

Now is the boring waiting part (and I still gotta make the big thread). And I'll think up a deadline for submissions eventually.

I assume we did what ever we wanted in the storage size we got...
A few ideas I think ppl liked:
Pictures of the usb in different places (memorable places for where you are)
Everyone adds on to a song
Faces

And we said sfw.

Allso yay! Is it going to be sent out any time soon? Or do we have to wait for submissions to the site to be done?

Yes, examples like those Flaf mentioned.

Let me add up to that:
- A small home-made sample-pack of sorts
- A Minecraft world save
- A video about a random something
- Project files
- Your dog
- Doge
- Wow
- A nice program of sorts (keep it warez-free - all rules that apply to the forum apply to the USB as well)
- A GameMaker game
- A recipe of your favorite dish
- Think up something else. Something creative. Something funny. Something worth it to share with friends.

Maybe have an "ongoing" folder, in which everyone contributes - for example- stems or something for a final product, alongside individual named folders "ExoBassTix", "eery", "Pyrelight" where you dump your crap? :3

Like this one toastbeard, me and some guys had a similar idea, like send a videocamera around the world, and everyone like film their experience or something. Then in the end, glue it all together, give it some music, and have like a nice little movie. it was more a thoughtexperiment, and we never spoke of it again, but i thought the idea was pretty neat.

idk, do what you must. if you call a mess of files of no particular collection creative, sure, thas cool.

You've made your opinion and refuse to adapt them to the facts I give you, so I refuse to continue on this dead-end conversation.

I sort of like and dislike the idea of having separate folders for each person like PYR3LIGHT suggested.
It would keep the usb neat and tidy, but it wouldn't be as fun imo since it separates everyones contributions. I would suggest having a few different folders for each different "project", like one for sample packs, one for pictures, one for a "Legacy of Discord" type song... and so on. This way ppl can see what there is, what you might want to contribute to, and you won't only go look at your friends pictures.

Maybe it should also be grouped in Showroom/Workshop, so you can put finished projects you want to share in the showroom and group projects, programs, sample packs and such in the workshop.

And a .txt file for instructions...

I'm sure ppl will figure it out...
Or chaos... Chaos is also fun...

1+4) These two things have actually been the idea since this whole thing started.

2) It'd also help people to know who did what. A sort of behind the scenes in that person's work or whatever.

3) The thing is, doing this could be fun for sure, but that will stop creativity. It means we'd decide now what you're able to do, and you wouldn't be able to do anything special besides that, in case you'd come up with something awesome.
And I don't think it makes sense to only look at your friends' pictures, or you'd be oblivious to the concept of MLRATW.

2) Is that really the point? To see who did what? I know I would add something silly anonymously... :I And you can still have your name in the file names so you know who did what... It feels like it would be very hard to do continuous projects if we have to check every individuals folder for their contribution... :/

3) I don't see how it would affect creativity. Anyone can start a new "project", just create a new folder in the "Workshop" folder and name it "SUPER POLKA BROS 69", have a little description of what it is, and then the next person can completely ignore it and make his or her own new project. (Although it would be good to start some projects before it is sent out, so the first guy can have some stuff to do, and the last guy has a say in what's done.)
I'm all for the "Showroom" being divided up in artists, cause that's where you post you'r own stuff for ppl to see.

I made a little example of how I personally think it is best organised
And HERE it is.
Tell me what you think? Yes? No?

2) I hadn't thought of people wanting to put anonymous stuff on the USB. I guess I'll have to think about that one.

3) I love how much effort you put in that. It really does help :)
Though, we gotta decide on something. If anything, I agree wholeheartedly that we can't do a huge group prohect when it's spread. I really think it'd be cool to have both solo folders (show off your stuff) and one big group folder (combine forces).

I also hadn't thought about just adding stuff to the group thing. Stupid me? Anyways, we'll do that, solo folders where you can show your stuff, and group projects that you can participate in (that you can add your own creative ideas to). Though, to put sample packs in the group folder is a bit stupid to me. It's not really a group thing. It's me showing you guys what I made, with a bonus being that you can use it freely.

Next to that, the names for the folders are genius.

Thanks :) this also inspired me to upload my own .zip of the USB structure when this is done so people know what to expect when they get the USB.

Sounds fine to me, looking forward to this :)

Good point with the sample pack thing, I wasn't sure where it should go...

Sounds like this is gonna work out just fine.
