What's your fav bpm/tempo?

90 and 130-140, specifically 138 (don't ask me why). Those tempos just... work for me.

depends

80 for hip-hoppy beats
100 for swing rhythm
120 for old house
128 for house <-- most favourite tempo
140 for when i feel like mad fast house (or when dubstep, ofc)
174 for dumb and ass drum 'n' bass, and sometimes dubstep

Nah that's dumb.

But hardstyle is probably my favorite genre, so anywhere between 150-170 for me.

Been to EDC Vegas?

Q-Dance had a stage there, with lots of big names. :)

No, but I want to go to it SOOOO BAAAAAAD.

Because 'jumping' looks... well, reeeeeally silly. xD

Pretty much a point-and-laugh situation if you do that at a big gig. :P

Also: If you even got enough space to go all jumpstyle, you're either at a crappy performance or you're in the back of the crowd.

Unless, of course, you live in an area where this kind of music isn't popular at all. In which case: Sucks to be you. :(

Anyway, speaking of BPM's being all over the place and how to properly go wild to Hardstyle:

You can thank me later. :P

EDIT: Before anyone says "hurrdurr what a tame crowd", this was at about 5~6am, if my memory serves me right. Party started at 10pm. Do the math. :P

I've done a lot of 111.111 bpm recently. :D it has a lot better groove than 110 for moombah-whatever.

And just cuz.

If I play sets, they're usually 150+ bpm, unless there's oldschool tracks in them... And pitching tracks from 111 to 150 = lethal. :P

112, 130, 140 and 150. I'm terrible at figuring out what bpm is best for any one particular thing, so I just stick to those mostly and have the lines per beat at 4 or 8, mostly 8.

Well, trust me... 'Jumping' is still kind of energy-efficient compared to what most people actually do. :P

But yeah, let's just agree that doing that is pretty much asking for being pointed and laughed at.
