It's to keep the aliens out OBVIOUSLY!!!

I'd post a picture, but my 'studio' is literally one laptop...

^ That's because you can't see the rest of the room. =P The only reason there's any room at all in here is because I left almost all of my studio at home.

It's pretty snug, you can touch both walls if you stand in the centre. There's no insulation, so it gets super cold during the Winter, but it's not bad.

Ah mate, I prefer open space, I don't really like working inside a confined space. But alas, I don't have a much better setup myself..

Well my desk used to be twice as big, but then I had to get out of my house and leave stuff behind etc, and there's not even room for my hole desk in this house... <_<

Very long story.

I actually could've bought those KRKs aswell, but went with the B3030As instead, sounded a bit better to me. Still those KRKs look sexy as hell.

I think I listened to the B3030As at the Music-Store as well. To me it seemed that the KRKs handled bassy music the best so I chose them, but I think just like DAWs the choice of studiospeakers is a very individual thing.

The Rp8s were way out of my budget. I tried out the KRK rp 5, Behringer B3030, yamaha hs 50, m-audio A5X, and a pair of Mackies with 5 inch woofers. The problem with most of them was bass, because of the 5 inch woofers.
Only the KRK and the behringer ones had body to the sound, the behringers sounded crisper to me though, and had way better bass than the rp5 (6,75' vs 5' is kind of unfair). I wanted to get the rp5 when I went to the store but after listening I changed my mind.

And yeah I agree monitor speakers are pretty personal, I'd recommend anyone looking for a pair to test them and compare them before you actually buy them.

Currently fine with the ones I got now. Reloop ADM-5's... It's a cheap pair, but for the price they got nice neutral sound, good for midrange and high frequencies. It can handle quite some bass too (doesn't start sounding muddy until you get below 30hz), but they're not very suited for kickdesign.

So when my budget grows a bit (which probably isn't going to happen since I'm going to move out pretty soon), I'll probably get me some fresh new monitors. I could still use the Reloops for when I'm at my mom's house. :) I'll probably drive up to Bax Shop and just try some out, like Rockin did. A friend of mine works there, so he'll probably be able to show me the right goodies. :D

If I had money I would go for KRK RP6 or something about that price. A friend has the RP6 and they have so much power. I think you don't need anything bigger than that until you go pro.
But I'm saving money like crazy for a Virus TI Snow hardware synth before upgrading my speakers. Those things are soooo sexy!
