Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

v.lossity wrote:Pony vs Non-Pony: Pony. There are tons of online communities for musicians out there that are not pony related at all. If someone wants a community like that, I would just like to point them towards google and let them go look for it. This is THE primary pony musician community. Why compromise that for the few that are here for the wrong reasons? I have no problem with non-pony music, but I feel this is a pony page, and anyone who isn't happy with that should just tolerate it or leave.

If I didn't like you guys I would've done that a month ago. I stay because I like the people here and I have no problem with ponies. Am I here for the wrong reasons?

You are ignoring the point of the post. This is THE pony musician community, so its the place where musicians who like pony can come. There are plenty of sites out there for musicians who dont.

Also, I think that integrating Toastbeard starts with stickying it's thread maybe?

I'd like to see a new forum on Music gear... like actually just discussing new Hardware/software you got or have heard about... I know some people will say this fits in technique, but not really

I'd like this, a place for dedicated reviews and discussion would be great.

I think a few more mods wouldn't be a bad thing.

And yeah, I'd be cool with a dedicated hardware/software section

I think we're going to have to wait until Rainbow & Rooted is over before we're going to hear from Cfry on what suggestions he'd like to move forward with for this site. He's got a bit on his plate this week. However IF Lavendar is leaving (??? i hope not :() I am guessing there may be some additional openings here..? Let's not have it be a free for all. :( although i've volunteered several times

I would apply but I probably wouldn't get it. I'd say the most likely candidate would be the4thImpulse, Freewave, or Kyoga.

Someone else may have already mentioned this but I cba reading 4 pages of stuff. Could we make the websites new theme not have pink? I love the website but it's kinda sus being on it around people who aren't bronies. Even if there's just an option for two different modes on the website. :P

Theme 1: "Out-of-stable" Features pink/ mlp related colours as main colours, Logo is also MLP related
Theme 2: "In-Stable" Features less 'sus' / non mlp related colours as main colours, Logo is non MLP related

Add to the 'theme 2' removing profile pictures as most everyone here has some sort of pony or pony related image.

Valid point... or if possible people can add a profile picture for the 'In-Stable' theme however if they do not then nothing will display

Does that matter then? I know about everyone here, I know how the forum works, I know what all individual sub-genres are for, and the rest is what I gotta prove Circuit in the case that he does open a form for new mods.

Well i agree that everyone should be able to apply and that depends on how many people CFry needs, what his criteria are, and who he's got to choose from for candidates. I do think someone who's been a solid member of mlr for 2 months should be considered but someone who's been here much longer, is a bit more well know by everyone else, shown maturity, has deep musical knowledge, is active on this forum for community discussion, and involved in other areas of the brony community would likely be even better candidates. That describes quite a few people on MLR who would make great candidates and spend plenty of time on here to do the job. Navron and Stars in Autumn were natural candidates. It definitely woulld be important to pick people who are planning on sticking around this community and aren't planning on leaving it anytime soon as there has been a LOT of that lately. I've offered to help many previous times as a mod and that offer is still open but this all really comes down to when CircuitFry has the time AFTER Rainbow & Rooted is actually published to get MLR 2.0 rolling so let's be patient until then. That may be several weeks perhaps. That's not something that should be actively discussed or fought for in this thread as its ultimately his decision to make staffing choices not ours.
