So, I'm working on a new album. But I'm confused on weather release it this summer or this fall. Need help with this

^ you're not obligated to any deadlines dude. There's literally no actual reason to set yourself one, it just leads to unecessary stress.

tbh I like setting a reasonable deadlines sometimes just so I have a timeframe of what should be done when on the project. I feel I work more efficient that way. if it could be done anytime, I can just watch another episode of spartacus, and then I never do anything, and that builds up stress for me at least.

Not just for music really, for stuff like "ok my place looks like shit. I should do this and that this day, and this and that that day, then try to be done by X.

Its also important to remember that the actual music industry operates on loads of deadlines, and its not a bad idea to get used to working with deadlines , should you ever want to try to make it there. Even as indie, it could be useful.

Hahahahaha thanks ^~^ I scored 81% for the test, so I figure I'm gonna be invited for the second selection day (that means passing first stage). I'm excited!
Tomorrow or monday I'll hear if I actually get to go to second selection day. They'll be sending me an email then.

We had 45 minutes to do the entire thing. And in that time I had to do that test (about music theory, acoustics, numeracy, solfège and music technology), and an exam about a few personal questions so the admission committee would know who they're dealing with. Basically about my experience with music and technology.
And I did that in just under 20 minutes

Yeah I'm happy. Can't wait for tomorrow/monday!

Lol. Sounds like you knew what you where doing. 45 min for a test tho... It's been some time since I took a test that short... :I My tests range from 3 - 5 h, pluss 50% extra because dyslecsics should always be granted unfair advantages >:D So I usually sit there between 5 and 7,5 hours... And pretty much always use all the time...

About that... I've never understood leaving a test before the time is out, atleast for short tests... (under 5h) I usually find 2 or 3 mistakes when I check my answers the 2nd time. That could be the difference between grades. Why doesn't everyone do that? It's a few hours of your time, and you've already wasted way more hours learning it all, so why not keep it together and make em count?

So I'm making festival trap now. 100% new to me. I didn't even used to like trap.
But I was making this one song and it sounds pretty awesome. So I want to get it mastered.
So my friend's dad is a professional at mastering music and stuff. Like he earns a commission from actual bands off iTunes and stuff. And so he is going to teach me how to master music professionally. Then maybe help me master this track which I intend on submitting to labels and stuff.
anyway, that's literally about all that's new with me.
Except for..I also watch attack on Titan.
But that's irrelevant

Well I got the email saying I'm invited to the second selection day, no big shocker on that one but a great achievement nonetheless! May 6th I'll have to go there to have a chat with the admission committee.

Then around early June I'll hear if I'm in!
