What are the 3 hardest drops you've ever heard?

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

XXDarkShadow79XX wrote:Okay, so maybe im not accusing you of EVERYTHING (negative) said in this video, but I think it gets my point across. Genres and sub-genres are important, but there's a difference between a genre branching off, and a genre simply evolving. This is why I'm fine with the terms "new dubstep" and "old school dubstep". It doesn't necessarily mean that deeper dubstep is old, it just refers to dubstep before it evolved a bit. After all, if you do some research, the term "brostep" WAS originally a joke/insult.

You know, I'm starting to think that you think I hate Brostep, and wish it to be gone. I don't. I can enjoy it. And I was already aware that "Brostep" was originally a joke. Key words there are "Was" and "Originally". I personally don't think the change from Dubstep to Brostep was the genre simply evolving, as it's too big a difference and there's such a large gap in between the two with nothing in between.

I had already said I did not want to turn this into an argument, and it is already turning into one, so I'm done here.
I'm calling still going to say Brostep, and if you don't like it, I honestly don't care.

XXDarkShadow79XX wrote:I limited it to dubstep for consistency. I really didn't want genres from all over cause it would get too out of hand. Besides, dubstep is known as the "Heavy drop" genre. Look, if you're not gonna post yer songs, then don't post.

It wouldn't get out of hand... All we would be posting is "drops". Drops are drops, and no matter what genre is posted, it would not get out of hand. Because all we would be posting is drops >_>

You know what, I'm done with this topic...

Nu Metal, Death Metal, Power Metal, Speed Metal and Thrash Metal all have one thing in common. You wouldn't be out of place in calling any of them Metal. Point being that with genres, the only people who get uppity when you SLIGHTLY mislable something are being a bit hipstery... "It's not DUBSTEP, it's Brostep." Truth be told, more people than not when you say "dubstep" people will instantly think of Skrillex and the like. It's best to just not let genre's bum you out so much. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, I just hate when people argue over something as meaningless as genre. Everybody knows what OP meant when the said Dubstep.

Anyway, I've done a bit of mentioning it in this forum recently, but god damn it I love Old Machines.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCVI6mRxJJQ

The part at 2:05 gives me the friggin creeps. If I'm not mistaken, it's a side chained banshee scream.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gL4XqkQOFU <=that one. Gave me goosebumps the first time I realized what it was.

edit: I didn't bother with 2 others. A lot of my favorite drops have already been posted and I felt it would be a bit redundant.

You mean drum and bass breaks, right. Dubstep and drum and bass are not the same thing. Unless you're making drumstep.

Anyways, have some random robotic industrial noise.

I'm not sure how you guys define hardcore, but the drop in this song is pretty awesome either way. I'm a big fan of Downlink. This drop might not be the most hardcore one ever, but it's damn awesome.

And if you want to post drum and bass in a hardcore dubstep thread, you might want to consider posting some breakcore. It's similar to DnB, but tends to be much harder.

AND I WILL DESTROY YOU WITH ANOTHER'S CREATIONS! TASTE BRATKILLA SCUM!

This is really bringing out my evil side isn't it? >:)

But wait, if you're on their side, then why did you post dubstep? Lavender and gremlin are representing Dnb, whilst I am supporting dubstep, so if you want to help them kick my a**, then post some damn hard Dnb. :)
