Squires aren't imitations of fender... They're just cheaper built than actual fenders... Because they're still built by fender
Oh you know what I mean. It's like how epiphone is the step below a Gibson. Made by Gibson but are essentially just a copy of the real thing. Fender and Gibson are superior in quality and craft to squire and epiphone. Same as German made Warwicks over Chinese made Warwicks, and many other brands. SX is a step below the step below.
