Don't you already know that if you're a producer

anyway, it's really overused a saying "Beats suck". Beats are decent phones; it's just that in reality they have no bussiness costing more than 100 Euros.

I've never actually tried beats, but they don't actually seem that bad. They're not made for producing, so I think it's redundant to bash them to bits in a music sense. They're made for listener enjoyment, and when they add words like "studio" or "pro" to the end of the name, it's purely for making people think that the headphones will have a much higher quality than regular headphones. And the marketing team for Beats is actually really smart, because they know that most regular people haven't tried expensive headphones regularly, so they know that they can way overprice without a large number of people complaining about how overpriced they are. Add on a stylish look, and the sales will skyrocket.

Beats aren't made for production, simple as that. They're perfectly fine (if ridiculously overpriced) for listening.

The beats I've listened to sounded awful. I've looked at the specs and they're dire for all models, and the fact they don't print the specs on the box means even if I hadn't listened to them, I'd never buy them.

^the fuck?
My friend has beats and they sound pretty damn good (for listening, obviously). I would still never give them a consideration, but don't pretend like they sound bad.

The point isn't whether they sound bad or not (which is an opinion), the point is that with Beats you're paying $350 for headphones with worse specs than headphones that cost half as much (which is objective fact).
