Looking for a digital artist's help!

Postby ROFLPIZZA » 06 Aug 2013 08:33

Hello! First off, I'd like to say that this is a request and, unfortunately, I wouldn't have any means of pay so if you only do commissions then I'm sorry. Also, I do some digital art myself, I'm just no good at lettering (what I need).

Now, for the task at hand, if you're interested I will most certainly credit you in any way possible. I am an amateur producer, currently on the way to finishing his first dubstep track. I've been in need of a logo, something along the style of Alex S. or Omnipony's. The lettering is all that's necessary, but if you'd like to get fancy with it and add other stuff then knock yourself out! For the time being, I've just been using a mug of my OC mascot thing or whatever. Anyway, the name is ROFLPIZZA if you didn't see already and if you feel that you need to see some sort of demo first, I've got some tidbits put up here.

Thanks!

I've done a few logos, so I might be able to do something

Okay, I've made up a logo, but I just have to say that a name like ROFL Pizza is kinda... juvenile sounding. (I know Glaze pulled off Wooden Toaster, but still). If you plan on releasing a lot of music or an album, I'd personally change my name (unless it has meaning to you)

Here is the rough sketch (if you like it I'll clean up the vectors and the effects)

I'd have to agree^ when i saw your artist name i had to do a double take as it sounded just so generic and half-assed. If your going to go with having a logo and first track released why not go all the way and find something unique and something that people will take seriously?

On a less serious note:

Hmmmm

The Living Wooden Tombstone Pizza Toaster... my god that's the ultimate supergroup.

It never even occurred to me that it sounded juvenile. I'll have to think up something else then. Thanks for the logo, and thanks for the tip! If I were to rethink the name, would you consider redoing the logo? Or is that too much?

I've returned, and I think I'd like to be Neon Cure. Is that any good? I've always been pretty bad with names, but I think that's at least decent. If not, then some other ideas were Photonic(k?) and Neon Trip.

Neon Cure sounds pretty cool. I'll make something up soon.

Your music is pretty sweet, too; I look forward to hearing more of you in the future

Thank you! That actually means a lot to me. Also, I plan on releasing my first track soon so you shan't be waiting long. I just need some finishing touches and approval from my critic.

This took a bit longer than expected, but here is the thing in three versions, ranging from colored with slight effect (not anything special, just showing a very very simple example of it) to just line-art
