What should the symbol be on my album?

Postby CaptainFluffatun » 12 Dec 2011 01:10

I'm going to make an album over winter break. I started on the art so I could have as much time as possible, but I can't think of a cool logo. Requirements:
-Original thought
-Nothing sexual
-Preferably simplistic
-Must be awesome

If I choose your idea I will credit you wherever I put up the album.

depends on what genre your songs are gonna be. you could take a mainstream album and ponify it in a way so it isn't obvious. lol but i dont really know. im bad at making artwork for things. just look at my avatar. its a default thing.

Here is a draft, but I could always change it: http://i.imgur.com/pDXXS.jpg

As for genres, here's the song for which the album is named: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5VpKmqx_dc

I'm going to re-make that, as well as make new material. I like rock and orchestral stuff, and I find myself terrible at anything electronica.

Actually you're not late, because I've been busy, and need to work on it more :o Thank you! I think I might actually keep the remake of that design I have, because it's like a reprise of the art for the song for which the album will be named, and seems fitting.

Plus, I have no idea how to shape any symbols linked into an interesting design, due to a creative deficit. Here's the current version: http://i.imgur.com/FhBBU.jpg

There is so much dissonance between your nickname and the art style of the album. The symbol and typography is good though, but is blue really the way to go?
Are you using photoshop for this? :3

I think I'll actually put that small in the bottom right corner, and very transparent. It will look so <REDACTED>

I get it:
http://soundcloud.com/uberkillius/the-alphabet-has-25-letters
...but I have no idea where or how it originated. Could you please post a link to the origin?

ON TOPIC: I had a good idea, but it more so involves good photography that GIMP. If you put a mirror on the roof, and had an angled shot of you looking up, with the reflection in the shot too, looking back at you.

I'm not sure whether you have the materials to do such a thing, but nevertheless, I'll leave that Idea with you.
