Genres you'd LOVE to see some Brony music made in

We all love it, otherwise it's unlikely you'd be here. Talk about the show and the fanbase surrounding it. Brony music discussions encouraged.

just play along! :D Skrillex has..... uh... blessed us with his presence!
And you guys all have the opportunity to beg him for massive presets

Correct me if I'm wrong but... isn't Somnabulist from the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks? I seem to remember him mentioning it somewhere

EDIT: I meant the word, not the song

If this is the real Skrillex, then make your profile picture a picture of him wearing socks on his hands. If you do that I will believe for definitely.

Also more dubstep that isn't a giant mess of wubs. Like this for example:

If we're going to set BT's work as a realistic goal for the brony music community (which is already stretching it without BT himself being a brony), then you might as well hold out for the brony equivalent of something from This Binary Universe.

I know, I know... I'm just hoping :P
I've just noticed that there's very little dance music with vocals in the community (at least that I've seen). Closest I've seen to BT's style would probably be SGAP or AllLevelsAtOnce because of all the sound editing, but even that....

And the brony equivalent of This Binary Universe would be insanely awesome :D

So much this.

I think a lot of people eventually get to know who they are and what they use to unify their music, even if they make music that is diverse from one track to the next. A style is great and frankly is important to build a fanbase and get people to conistently like your music but then again sometimes people are making music that is the same genre over and over again and that may not be something that's even that unique from the rest of the music world who is doing the same thing. Everyone is unique, but just like everybody else. ;)

Even Arual Psynapse? Wow. I love deadmau5's music, but that song is just terrible (because it was one of the first songs he made, and he had very little experience).

Aural Psynapse was pretty good IMO, at least for a first song. Definitely not his greatest, but it's not bad. At least I liked it *shrugs*

I can see why someone wouldn't like all his songs, they're quite varied in style, but I'm kinda one of those guys who like most music, as long as it's well made :3

I pretty much just don't like Dutch house and trance. But I think 4x4=12 isn't well produced, regardless of the genre. The two good songs are the first two, but other than that I am not impressed; I think deadmau5 could have done better, especially looking at Random Album Title and Get Scraped. He did redeem himself with the last album.

But yeah, I pretty much think every genre has good and bad except Dutch house; that's all bad.

I'd like to see some of the dubstep producers try to make more of that Downlink, Excison, and Datsik style of dubstep. It's far more intuitive to make than Skrillex-y dubstep in terms of effects and modulation, and it also sounds like Transformers having sex. I know a lot of people say that it's too difficult, but I beg to differ.

http://soundcloud.com/chromatic-chaos-pony/wub-wub

There. Proof that it can be done. I didn't even use Massive. Go forth and make Transformers mating calls in your DAWs. This community needs more of it.
