Genres you'd LOVE to see some Brony music made in

We all love it, otherwise it's unlikely you'd be here. Talk about the show and the fanbase surrounding it. Brony music discussions encouraged.

Hardstyle. I know there is a plenty of it already in the fandom, but none of it sounds like professional (you could also say mainstream) hardstyle. I'm talking about this level of quality:

Well I'd be interested, but the idea would work a lot better if I was anywhere near your level at playing.

I'd love some Eight:FX style dubstep in the brony music thing, but there's another thread for that (and I'm planning on making it happen myself).

Brony IDM would be bucking awesome, like Mike Pardinas style IDM.
Or Mike Pardinas style breakcore:

Speedcore would be awesome, too. There's this Argentinian speedcore/hardcore/hardstyle guy who's really good called Round Wave Crusher (also known as Shingo DJ), and he's a brony. He needs to make a pony song, because he makes such good speedcore.

I love how someone as awesome as this is a brony.

I can slow down if you want. ;~; I just wanna do something...

No need to slow down - I've always considered shredding the fun part of playing guitar, even though I've only got half decent at it recently.
I might have to do this with you at some point. For now, I'm going to go and practice.

I'd like to, Kyoga (In fact I think we were long time ago), but again, you dominate in terms of axe-slinging.

As for the metal/rock thing, I am aware of those guys (Hell, I know those guys pretty well), but compared to all the dubstep/EPM stuff, it's a minority. There's a few underheard metal acts out there, but the ones you mentioned are the most popular.

The only thing keeping me from doing more metal and punk is the fact that I'm pretty doodoo on the kit.

If anyone is NOT doodoo, let's churn out a 15 minute album immediately.

That's awesome! I was waiting to see some good speedcore in the community.

So far, the only speedcore I've seen made by bronies is made entirely as a joke. Nobody seems to take it seriously. All I usually see is "Herp derp raise the bpm to infinity and beyond!!! Kicks everywhere asdfghjkl!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It would be nice to see more bronies start to take it seriously for a change.

Example: Pinkamena Party. Not to bum out anyone who participated, but every speedcore song on that album was clearly made to sound as shitty as possible. It would have been much better if they had taken production somewhat seriously.

I'd try making some serious speedcore, but I'm busy experimenting with dropless substep and gabber at the moment :/
I'll probably try it eventually

Trolling alert.

Anyway, I'm getting into Ableton now and making some serious speedcore. It's going to be really tough mixing the kicks and getting enough bass in there. I'm surprised at how drastically the sound changes when I make a 1 dB change in the volume of the bass drum.

There seriously needs to be more prog musicians in the fandom. The only two I can think of at the moment are Tarby and HeyLasFas.

Oh, and Archie. But I guess he doesn't really count, since he only used the fandom to get popular.

MORE FUNK

Here's a reference guide to get y'all started

Seriously tho I'm in love with any kind of EDM which has the 70's 80's funky feel in it.

This is why MLR drives me crazy sometimes. 3000 views for a prog track, and it's not enough? How much more proggy could that even be, all the time signatures are prime numbers and the whole ending has six million drum fills on roto-toms!

Also, folks were saying this was Pink Floydy, which considering that it's guitar soloing... you gotta show up to toastbeards, half of what I _do_ has guitar soloing in it- I just often hide it in effects because ponies seem to not like guitars

Shall we duel, then? It would be a good fun thing for both of us and we could post it to get some good laughs from our subs. XD

Lol, yeah, all 7 of them. (Yeah, started a new Youtube for music, and I only have 7 subs thus far). Skype me and we'll get to work.

Back on topic, anyone else think that country is a bit of territory that needs some love? I'm not talking Taylor Swift country, but I mean folkier stuff like John Denver or some fiddle shredding like Charlie Daniels, maybe some gunslinger ballads ala Hank Williams and Marty Robbins?
