Season 2 Discussion - SPOILER WARNING

We all love it, otherwise it's unlikely you'd be here. Talk about the show and the fanbase surrounding it. Brony music discussions encouraged.

Capitalism, Cider, Occupy... A savvy episode, I'd say. :D

I think we all agree with AJ on the last line...

That was the best song this entire series has presented. Daniel Ingram is a genius.

GOOD EPISODE. Not quite as good as the last but still pretty fantastic! The last one wasn't a fluke, they really are getting better!

It was just put together so well, even though I wouldn't call the concept all that great. The pacing was absolutely perfect. They used every second of their 22 minutes to full advantage. The ending was a bit abrupt, but we're used to that. That's just nitpicking.

It wasn't fun to see Rainbow Dash being just a bit of a jerk... It was fun to see THE FORCES OF FATE be a jerk to her though!

also for some reason I teared up a bit at the ending when Pinkie offered Rainbow her mug of cider. dat face Rainbow made just beforehand...

AND THE SONG HOLY SHIT. Awesome, awesome song! For a little bit there I thought "OH MY GOD THEY'RE GOING TO DO LIKE THE REST OF THE EPISODE AS A MUSICAL NUMBER", maybe I was the only one but it was definitely very musical theater-y in the best possible way.

9.5/10 for being a bit lacking in characterization... the plot was pretty much situational, and like Applejack said, she knew she was right all along, so it's not like anyone had to develop or change to overcome their problem. That's nitpicking again, though, I'll admit. Fantastic episode all around.

I liked the episode. It's kinda weird, having a song not sung by any of the main or even recurring characters, but it was still fantastic. I thought the idea behind the episode was pretty bland, but I liked it nonetheless. Also, that letter to Celestia. Hah!

What kinda bugged me was that the apple family, knowing that they couldn't make enough cider for the whole town, didn't make sure every pony at least got a taste during the season. Why didn't they keep track of who had gotten a mug and who hadn't? Why not limit it to one mug per customer?

Yes I'm nitpicking! Stop looking at me like that!

I'd say Pinkie was actually the bigger jerk considering she bought a truckload of mugs for herself (knowing full well there were loads of ponies waiting). So for once I'd say Rainbow Dash's attitude was understandable.

Yes I'm nitpicking again! Shush! It all worked out in the end!

This episode featured one of the wierdest-looking villains I've ever seen. I don't even think the Aztecs saw the eyes as depicted like that. :D

There are so many things wrong with the two above posts I wont even address them other than this statement here.

Did anyone else seem to find a few scenes relate to becoming bronies? That sheer discontent in realizing that you like something you previously scoffed at and is not normally adored by your demographic? The moments when you don't tell your friends about it from fear of the backlash? The awkward moments when a relative walks in and you close all the pony windows and cant seem to act normal?

A top tier episode for me. Seriously, this one was truly epic!

First of all, the various scenes with Daring Do and Ninja Dash were so well made and awesome to watch.
Didnt by any means feel like one of those "shows for little girls", as some would adress this to be.

Seeing how Dashie didn't dare to tell she liked reading reminded me so much of myself before I dared to tell my friends I like this show.
Also made me realised how much I've missed reading... [loads up some fanfics]

Also extra kudos for the crazy barking patient. Had me going for a few minutes.

Aye, this surpasses my past favorite episodes.
Sorry Winter Wrap-up & Lesson Zero, this one takes the gold trophy!

I'm not usually a fan of the CMC episodes, but I gotta say, I liked this one. There were so many animation subtleties with the 3 of them I couldn't help but literally laugh out loud!

The new episode is awesome! I kinda wanted Scootaloo to sing in the song, and hear her sing well all of a sudden, but I guess they'll stick with the Scootaloo sucks at singing thing for the rest of the series. Oh well. It was so weird to see "romance" in the series, but they pulled it off very well! I just wish Big Mac would get more lines. I mean yeah, I get that he's shy, but really.

My first-time nitpicking in an episode: Michelle Creber sounds rather... off. I'm guessing it's just me but she sounded cuter and natural way way back in the previous episodes. I feel like she pushed herself a little bit too hard. It's not Applebloom. It's Creber trying to act as Applebloom.

But again, that's just me though...

I kinda expect the episode will be as some kind homage to PPG's episode where the girls matchmade Prof. Utonium and Ms. Keane. XD
I thought it was gonna be way more hilarious, but this one's fine. Sweetie Belle is just... Sweetie Belle, and the rush to get Cheerilee and Big Mac not seeing each other for 1 hour is just classic fun.

For the song... It's okay, but the Apple Cider song kinda overshadows this one's by standard considering it appears right after.

Though I wouldn't rule this as my favorite episode, I do enjoy it. (^ ^)b

I really enjoyed the episode, up until the point where I heard the phrase "Love Potion". Then, I knew exactly how the entire remainder of the episode was going to pan out.

Very sweet and man a lot of songs. Pinkie does seem to not know when is when though. I was almost thinking that the lesson would be that you can't be friends with everyone (because you can't) but i guess the ending was ok. Reminded me of UP a little bit. Nice to see more range from Pinkie.
