Bronies in the wild

We all love it, otherwise it's unlikely you'd be here. Talk about the show and the fanbase surrounding it. Brony music discussions encouraged.

Truth being spoken!
Reminds me of my favourite quote. "If I'm not better, at least I'm different!"

Eh. That just gives me asscosiations of "Look at me, im so quirky and unique, so that makes me spechul and cool".

Well how about this?

Trying to be normal is a waste of time.

Still gives off those same vibes. Like with ditzy blonde chicks who play Call of Duty and say "lol, I'm such a nerd ;)". Or with Adventure Time; most of their humor ends up being "Look how RANDOM we are! Isn't that hilarious!?"

I'm eccentric and I don't go out of my way to get attention.

:I

People who do that just for attention kinda piss me off.

Meeting people who care less about hiding it can be refreshing. Except when they shove it in your face.

Exactly this. Nothing more needs to be added.

I was selling soda at school today, and I sold one to someone with a brony bracelet on. I was like, "Cool bracelet". I never knew he was a brony before, but I don't know if I will ever really talk to him again. lol

Idk man, i don't usually find brondlikes out in public unless its my friends/a convention. The bronidiles are def in my class, but they're using their bronoplage to hide from me. Even more elusive are homestuck fanz, literally no one around me ever unless I'm at a con. I want to meet irl hamsteak fans and give them high fives and discuss the minutia of the comic but they're elusive as fuck. I mean, even at school, every now and then I'll see a pone shirt and make sure to give that bronolobo a fisthoof, but there is only one fucking piece of shit who likes homestuck at my school, and I know it because he wears his homestuck jacket everyday, and whenever I call him on it, he denies it. Pisses me off hard. Fandoms gotta stick together, yo. Especially small ones.

How did you download a T-shirt?!

Anyway, I actually have a good number of brony friends; most of them are my friends from different parts of the country that I take online classes with, but I know at least 4 irl, though one isn't really in the fandom anymore and the other I haven't seen in months.

I've also seen a number of pone shirts in the college section of my city, but as they were on complete strangers I didn't want to say anything.

@vladnuke: Wow, Homestuck for me is... like... every other person (that could be because my two best friends for like forever were both Homestucks before I was, even though I didn't know it) just off the top of my head I know at least 7 irl.

Think that's bad? I need to walk around in baseball attire to meet other members of the Off fandom.

It wouldn't surprise me if I knew people who watched the show and I didn't realise it, but it's never really come up.

Anyway, I once met a nice brony at a metal festival, but I had yet to join the herd.

Saw a guy with AJ headphones on the buss home from school. My Swedishness prevented me from saying hi and talking about it. It was sad.

Then summon Satan and ask him to spawn some bronies xD always works for me.

So an old friend of mine added me on Facebook after not having spoken with each other in 2.5 years (I changed so much during that time - he didn't xD ). Immediately messages me: "Dude, Princess Luna as profile picture? Srsly?"

\ö/ ask me a random question, and I'll predict the answer. It seems that I predict future stuff.

For one reason or another I was in counseling at my university quite some time ago. My counselor (also my mentor) is a bamf anyway, but he was asking me how Anime-Fest in Dallas went last year, I told him about the MLP stuff and he told me he's actually a fan. He watches it with his son.

Also, I was submitting an online assignment for a class of user-support and help-desk concepts. I noted in my introduction that i was a brony. My teacher and adviser told me that heis kids got him into it and that he's enjoyed it thus far.

On another occasion, I was kind of in a slump, wondering if I was putting too much time and energy into MLP. My doubt was alleviated however; I had been giving a series of speeches in my communication class all of which were on bronies. One day amidst my doubt, my classmate/group-mate introduced me to a friend of hers and told her that I was doing a speech series on MLP - the girl immediately shook my hand and said that she wanted to be my friend. xP

Later that very same day, I was at a restaurant with my sister when this girl looked at me, and yelled across the restaurant, "I LIKE YOU PONY SHIRT!".
I was wearing Vinyl Scratch that day. I yelled thank you.
