Bronies in the wild

We all love it, otherwise it's unlikely you'd be here. Talk about the show and the fanbase surrounding it. Brony music discussions encouraged.

I have yet to find any of that, people hardly respond to my 20% Cooler shirt.

But I came here to say that, that is the best Truck ever!

That truck is manlier than a Ferd F-Teenthousand.

I've encountered so many bronies in the wild. The craziest was probably on top of Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. A bunch of bronies and I hiked to the top of the mountain, and when we got there there was a boy scout troup already up there. One of the boy scouts looks over and sees our shirts and says "Those are awesome shirts". Then we brohoofed.

I went to a Hey Ocean! Concert in Vancouver once.

I don't have any pictures of it, but, naturally, there were bronies EVEERYWHERE.

It's actually the only time I've spotted bronies in Vancouver...I rarely find brony stuff in Vancouver...

True that.

I encouraged my buddy to carry some at his store (Big Pete's, in North Van), but sadly, he has limited variety available through his distributors. The shirts, for example, are WeLoveFine ones, but from all that possible variety, his distributors only give him access to a couple of styles. So he carries those two, but, well, what else can he do?

Hopefully, the variety available to him will increase with time. Not only will that mean more choice, but also more visibility of the section. Right now, he's got them buried in with other cartoon related shirts, when really, they could stand to be their own section, if only he had enough variety.

I became a brony magnet on my way to Bronycon. While I was at the Atlanta airport I was approached by a couple of bronies who noticed my shirt that parodied the mustang logo with "BRONY" instead of "MUSTANG" for the logo.

They were like "BROHOOF!!!"

So. I'm at my university's bar for a band comp, hanging in the green room with my bandmates before the night starts, and in walks this archetypal bad-ass metal band: six tall guys, wife-beaters all around, hair as long as it is unkempt; one of our competitors for the evening. As I size them up and silently judge them, I realise that one of their three guitarists is wearing a plain black wife-beater with Dashie's cutie mark emblazoned in the middle.

Later in the evening, as he's setting up his pedals, I approach him from the floor and tell him his top is awesome. He smiles knowingly and tells me he had it "custom-made for gigging."

Respect.

I've come to accept that there are pretty much no other bronies around my area.

The SINGLE event of bronies in the wild I've experienced was at the local Kroger. I had my DJ PON-3 shirt from WeLoveFine on, and there was this girl bagging my groceries. When she saw my shirt she kinda lit up a little and was like "Are you a brony?" She was so shy about it I almost didn't hear her, but I just smiled and said "Oh yeah, avidly!" We had a playful little debate over who was best pony (I said Twi she said Shy), and then I brohoofed her as I left.

Should've asked her for some contact info... :\

I used to play Pokemon TCG competitively, and dang, there was always a ton of bronies at those competitions. Especially Nationals, for some reason, everybody just went nuts. Not that I mind.
Other than those times, I learned my friend at Tae Kwon Do is a brony, and that his brother was too (who was, at the time, dating my sister (who didn't even know what a brony was)). Interesting.

I also found one in my PC tech class today. I'm a second year student so I get to monitor all the first year kids screens. I see him posting on a bunch of pony forums. I still haven't said anything yet...

Haha, I can send messages through the same program, So I think I'll just send a brohoof. I'd still like to keep it all on the down-low for the rest of the class. Don't know how they feel at ponies.

I've seen one person with an MLP shirt at my school. Have yet to confront her with it, because she's NEVER ALONE! And I'm way to shy to ask about that around other people.
