I think I actually love the fandom more than the show itself. Very few of the season 2 episodes I've watched more than once. I watched them when they first appeared on YouTube, but I've spent most of my pony time on EQD, DA, a few tumblrs, and MLR, rather than actually watching the episodes. Just taking in all the new fan content (that I'm aware of, anyway).

That said, the show is tons of fun to watch. And WAINBO DASSH IS SOO KEWT UMG <3

Fandom and other small things reminded me of Touhou for a start,
that also is a big reason why I couldn't judge against it.

Then all the hilarious scenes that I wish I could make a compilation of and title it "Why I like MLP" with scenes such as fluttershy apparently beating up a bear, the insane barking pony, the list goes on.

I think I actually love the fandom more than the show itself.

This is a big part of it for me too, without the fandom I would have never found the show (like almost everyone else) and the fadom only makes me more excited for the show.

The show itself is just way too entertaining and fun for me too pass on.

It's a great show, with wonderful morals, and it's a visual and audio feast.
But must of all, it brought us all together.

In a word, it's fascinating. Aside from the quality animation, charismatic characters, fun and engaging plots, memorable villains, and uplifting moral messages, the social aspect of it is just amazing. I enjoy the community that has formed because of it, and I'm especially loving how ponies have become sort of hot topic these days. Hell, I love seeing how strongly people react whenever I start playing the MLP theme on the piano, whether it's "yay!" or "DAMMIT MORTE I AM NOT A BRONY!"

The show dynamic and the social dynamic it has created are virtually endless sources of entertainment for me, and you pegasisters and fellow bronies make it all the more enjoyable for me.

The new design of the ponies is simply perfect - love at first sight. They actually ARE cute and beautiful as hell! Let alone the voice actors performances and writing making the characrers simply D E S I R A B L E !

All the reasons people have listed applies to me too. I love the characters, the stories, the animation, the music. I love the awesome community that it has spawned. But I'd like to go to a more personal reason why I love it, or more accurately, appreciate it.

Last summer I had to move. I had very little time to get a new place and so couldn't be picky. I ended up way out in the forest in a collective. Pretty nice place and nice people (awesome rent), but here's the thing. I don't have a car, and when I got there I didn't have a bike either. So for the better part of a year, I was stuck out in the forest, away from everything, with a shit internet connection shared by about 5-15 people (give or take depending on which month it was), and prone to dying because of said people.

I felt pretty isolated out there. Like I said, it wasn't bad at all really, but I didn't really feel all that well, psychologically, when I was there. I wasn't completely aware of it at the time, but I've done some introspection since I moved away from there and have come to that conclusion.

So what does that have to do with MLP? Well, It was around that time that I seriously decided to give the show a shot. I think it was around the latter half of the first season. In lack of better words, it's not so much that watching the show helped me get myself out of a hole, but rather that it helped me avoid digging myself into one. If that makes sense.

Since then I've moved back closer to the city, involved myself more with the brony community (MLR, dA, EQD, bronystate movienights, etc), and my days are filled with more smiles now.

No, I have seen every episode. I honestly prefer RD to Fluttershy. Sorry if that opinion goes against the grain somewhat.

That's kind of one of the reasons the show is so awesome is the mane 6 are just a great range of characters and show kind a wide spectrum of personalities. I can't hate on any of them. Ultimately its the community that surrounds the show that makes MLP what it is but as one guy said "ponies are like legos of the mind" which i think is true as they just work to instill joy and creativity to those who love them.
