If you click on "Detailed stats", you'll get a detailed view of views, listens and downloads.
I'll admit that there is no download total, only a representation of them over time, but I can look into adding that if you want.
Freewave wrote:This also isn't shown on the artists main profile page but only when you drill down into each song. Not a big deal when you have 5 songs but a bigger problem when you have a lot more. Can you display that information from the main page too?
Sure. I'll see what I can do.

I don't see the point of that. EqBeats, unlike SoundCloud, is not trying to be a social network.
It might come up as a side effect of something else I have planned, but don't count on it.
Freewave wrote:** The layout is as plain as can be. Have you thought about making any steps to make it more visually appealing?
Of course not. I hate nice-looking websites.
Freewave wrote:It's functional but it will not appeal to people expecting what youtube, soundcloud, and eqd offer. Bright and colorful and with some personality. It's also not easy to maneuver around or find what's good out of the musicians arhcived there. It's not just about the artists wanting free hosting, it's about a pretty enough site that listeners will want to use it TOO.

hahaha
Seriously though, having a clean, no-bullshit layout was a goal from the start, and I like to think we achieved that pretty well.
Now of course, we're coders, not web designers, and if someone with better ideas / a better grasp of UX would like to give it a try,
make yourself at home.
Freewave wrote:**We are told our tracks are put on Celestia Radio. Is there anywhere to see how much play or if that's truly the case? That was one of the draws when joining the site and i just have no idea if there's actually a benefit or not because i can't find any link or stats for that.
We are currently talking with CR to see if they can provide an API for us to retrieve stats. Sadly, most of the process is entirely out of our reach.
Freewave wrote:** The youtube function IS great. I am glad that more formats are offered now. I'm glad that large track images are allowed, description info, and embeds work well. I certainly don't dislike the site but it hasn't developed over time to truly become a thriving site for brony music that was promised. I don't see a whole lot of results in using it and I'm not sure if that's any different for others.
Not sure how you expected it to develop exactly, but I'm sorry it doesn't meet your expectations.
Oh, since you keep comparing EqBeats to SoundCloud and YouTube, keep in mind that EqBeats is not trying to be either of those two websites. And that we are just two students with a bit of free time to spare, not a team of twenty developers with a hefty paycheck.
