Sample-king

Good samples are everywhere, but few can see them. Take Boohbah for example.

Most people would pass this off as a mind-degrading kid's show. However, I gave it a chance, and it yielded a decent breakbeat, not to mention a tripped-out voice synth at 1:41.

I would like to know how far you've went into the Astral Plane. Unless all y'all basic Bs use libraries.

I once built a 300GB home-made sample library.

All gone.

I can't be too bothered to compile a full 'list of shit I've sampled!!!11!11111!' A bloody decent chunk of that would be taken up just by <3...
The samples I'm proudest of, though, are Daybreak, which I based around a glitched + screwed sample of this poni BGM, and a very small part of Sister - that weird, scratchy sound at the very end of the song is actually a super-glitched sample of Eric Wareheim calling his pet rascal.

Oh, I sampled helicopters, Striders from HL2 and the door voice saying "Access denied" from Half Life 1.

...I like Half Life. If only the combine played a drum solo every so often. I'd call it the Freeman Break.

some of the things mcmiag-san has sampled over the years:

- The Reading Rainbow theme

- Jihadist propaganda videos
- That folk song they did on that one Family Guy
- Bill Hicks beatboxing porno music
- The Showcase Showdown from The Price is Right. You know how the wheel beeps, right.....

- Female barbershop quartets (Sweet Adelines <3)
- "He told me to burn things!"
- The Jonestown Death Tape

Madlib: What kinda breaks you got then?
Vendor: We got a wide selection of Simon Harris.

I use samples in most of my music (because im lazy.) But once I sampled myself saying, "And I dont know why" and turned it into what I see as an oldschool house track.

I've sampled my friend going "You know what I can't wait for? THE SKRILLEX REMIX!", I reversed pharrel williams going "SWAG" in lose yourself to dance and reversed it, I sampled giorgio, sampled a random drum loop from the beatles and reversed it and pitched it down -200%
That's all, really.
