Are you trying to sound exactly like an acoustic piano or are you just trying to make a keyboard-type synth? If you're trying to sound precise, I'm gonna tell you right now that I don't think it is very possible to make something sound exactly like a clean piano, including the one in that song, with synthesizers.

If you're talking about the piano that plays first at the start of the start, it's just a piano. Just find a piano synth.

I just want it to sound like the piano at the start of the song, yes.
itroitnyah, what kind of piano is it, though? It doesn't sound like a grand piano, which is the usual piano synth, so...?

You're much better off using a sample library of a piano. It'll sound much more rich than a synthesizer.

May I ask why you're trying to synthesize the piano rather than just use a piano sample library? That's a real piano that they used in the song. I don't know the brand, but it's an acoustic upright piano. I'm sure most piano sample libraries will do you just fine.

If you want a specific one, Emotional Pianos is a great one

Here's a free piano vst - http://www.kvraudio.com/product/piano_by_mda

It will take a little work to get it sounding nice, EQing, reverb and what not. I use it, rarely, but I rarely desire piano sounds in my music, can vouch for its averageness.

Synthesizing a piano just won't work, if you have complex waveforms to choose from you can get close, but it will never sound like the real thing, never.

Yeah, pretty much this. Synths can do a lot of things, such as making cheap trumpet/brass sounds, guitar sounds, bells, and strings. But when it comes to thinks like piano, you're outta luck.

XLN have got a really nice and highly editable free piano. It's a demo, so is reduced in range, but it's still really good!

Massive isn't good at piano emulation, not at all.

Since sytrus is using additive synthesis, however, it can produce some decent piano sounds.
Check out the piano presets.
If you want to have more piano with sytrus, just record a piano solo piece, select one cycle of the record's waveform and drag it to sytrus's osc. Then mess around with it and apply same kind of envelops than the ones used in the presets.

But whatever you do, a piano vst is still a better option.
