You can either use a gate effect or use volume automation.

If you're going to use volume automation, use a snap to grid at the very least. 1/16 or maybe 1/32 should be fine.

Also Louder!. How original.

What would the automation track look like, ive been messing around with it and its not working :(

it fades in and out quickly, also the "DashStep" one repeats the same sound a few times before qoing to the next one, i pressesd "Chop, stutter 2" on my audio and thet made the sound i want a few times in the wrong places, how can i make that sound?

Hang on, what DAW are you using? If you're using Fl, you could always just make a noise gate with fruity love phitler like so:

As mentioned, you could either slap a gate on it, or use volume automation.

You could also chop the vocals up and put one slice in as many times as required, which could give you a little more freedom in terms of effects and stuff on each slice.
Also, learning how to use dBlue Glitch can give you some pretty damn cool results.

I'd actually just cut the audio;-
Place the sample where you want it, make a cut to the beat (if you want it beat sync'd) and shorten the segments.

Might get popping (zero-crossing) issues, but with this genre, maybe that doesn't matter! ^^
I don't know if you have a fade in/out tools like Logic9 has...? If you do, use it to prevent pops.

Or use a hard tremolo effect, set to mono and a square wave (or slightly rounded square to help avoid zero-crossing pops). Again, your tremolo can be automated in freq & depth most usefully.

Oh! I forgot about this one:

iZotope Stutter Edit is a VST made especially for this kind of thing. It also just happens to be awesome. :3
