I think Stormwolf made a eurobeat remix of Avast, in which he used a lead that sounded almost identical to the one EBB uses in all his songs. If anyone knows its him.

If I'm correct, Stormwolf got it off EBB's Eurobeat Blog.

It's pretty much Synth Brass layered with Supersaws, apparently Garage Band has some presets great for that sort of thing already built in if you're running a mac.

Portamento + synth brass + even more saws? that seems pretty right

I've made a eurobeatlead for a eurobeat song I'm doing fairly soon. Take a synth brass, make the attack instant, and no decay, so right when you hit a note, it starts and ends instantly. Do this with 2-3 synth brasses, and you can even line it with a supersaw of some sort. That's usually what he does. I've talked to him about this. :P
As for eurobeat basses, find a soft trance bass. I have a massive preset that sounds like a eurobeat bass if you want it.

Ok, just so you know, I managed to get a sound similar to Eurobeat's lead. I can send it to you if you want, it's only a Sylenth1 and a 3xOsc

Here you go:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40367185/EurobeatLead.zip

Those are FL Studio presets, so if you don't have FL Studio you're out of luck. It uses 1 Sylenth1 and 1 3xOsc, route both of them to the mixer and add a Fruity Parametric EQ 2, and load the EQ preset I have as well. Also, they are layered, so make sure you do that. They should generally be around the same volume.

Enjoy!

I also use some of the Delta presets found here:
http://eurobeat.tradebit.com/files.php/ ... -Elements/
This is a collection of the samples and files used by a real Eurobeat producer back when the genre was newer.

...sorry I haven't been around to contribute much or help out, I've been busy beyond busy lately and the light's at the other end isn't bright yet. Hopefully that helps a bit, so far you guys are on the right track for sure!

Oh I only just noticed this post...
I have some good massive eurobeat saw-leads, but unfortunately I can't post them until I get onto my other computer.
I'll try to have a link here asap though.

You know, normally I wouldn't hold a random stranger on the internet to a promise, but this thread comes up on the first page of Google. It'd help out a lot of people (I'm still trying to tweak Michael's presets, but the more the merrier).

Also, on a related note, about half of the front page results for 'how to make a eurobeat lead' are either written by Odyssey or had a comment/reply written by him. Kudos to him, I'm seriously impressed.

true? not true?

I'll try this next time I open up FL. I'd been messing around with saw waves up until now. That synth is surprisingly hard to recreate for me, but synth programming was never my strong suit anyways.

It's practically part of what makes eurobeat music eurobeat.
Eurobeat as a genre is pretty resistant to change of any type, but really seeing as it's more of a "retro" thing anyways (it stopped being relevant as a mass appeal thing a while back, actually it was originally European as the name would suggest, the Japanese just picked it up after the Europeans got bored of it) I guess it's a similar premise as to trying to get accurate hardware synth sounds (like the Roland 303).

YOU'RE WRONG AND I HATE YOU.

I admit, the genre is repetitive. It's definitely a key factor of the genre, anyways. I enjoy listening to it regardless, though, which is why I'm interested in making it. But that's just me.

I'm seriously considering it for Lesser Knowns, but I'll probably stick to trance
