"Most important effect" for mixing

Postby GumsOfGabby » 22 Apr 2013 15:17

Reverb

SOS also has a huge archive of very useful information on just about everything you'd want to know about regarding sound and music production. Obviously it won't get you any qualifications, but it is the most useful site I've ever come across. Probably been linked here thousands of times, but this article needs to be read by everyone!

I've always been paranoid that I use reverb too much, but now I'm not as paranoid about it, lol. Thanks.

I read the whole article, I've been very skeptical of mixing on send buses, but I after reading it, I can see why it's important, I didn't really ever consider using the same reverb effects for the majority of my synths/instruments to make them feel pieced together.

I've always applied reverb to most of my sounds, but never in this method/style, guess I'll give it a shot on my next mixdown.
