What kind of lead is this

Postby MagnaDrake » 13 Mar 2013 09:52

It fades in at around 0:32 then enters clearly at 0:44. Its flangered/phased so Im not quite sure what it is. Some help pointing it out and how to recreate it would be appreciated.

Sounds like a supersaw with the attack and release pushed up a bit. Maybe a little bit of a filter envelope.

Plain saw wave with flanger. If you're on Massive, use "flanger negative" and a phaser if you like. Play maj/min 3rds and perfect 4ths and boost the mids (or cut lows and highs) to get something similar to the sound in the video.

See I'm hearing the supersaw-like thing, but thats not the lead, as far as I can tell. Thats the pad. The lead sound with the thick flanger is an electric guitar, played mostly clean...

Definetly a processed guitar sample, it's layered with some kinda lead/pad like lav said

I'm pretty sure it's a sample. I've heard that exact sound alot. I bet you could find it somewhere.

The mid is guitar. The low is a simple VA synth.
