Where can you find good dnb drum samples?

Postby K3WRO » 08 Jan 2013 06:12

Hi, I'm trying to find some good neurofunk drum samples on the internet but It seems like I've found nothing, I don't really want to buy vengeance samples, and I suck at synthesizing drums

Does anyone know a good sounding DnB sample pack which isn't so overpriced or quite possibly free?

Boyinaband has some good drum samples, so it's worth checking out his samples. Or, I could teach you how to synthesize your own drums. The drums I get out of synthesizing my own are very good, imo.

You will never find a pack that does everything. Boy in a band is utter mince though, I'll tell you that for free. The best thing to do is build up a collection of samples, and work from them. I have a lot of samples, and when producing a track I will often change those samples midway to ones that fit better. There are a few dedicated dnb packs on beat port, loop masters and hospital records, the Danny Byrd one comes highly recommended from Addictia and a few other folks, but learn about layering, and the construction of a drum and bass beat. Chase and Status did a really good bare bones breakdown of a beat, it's on YouTube.

Not sure about this pack specifically, but the Alesis SR16 is absolutely mental.

Usually I combine samples from various sample packs with the breaks from the Danny Byrd Sample Pack.
