How do you make this kind of effect?

So i was listening to this preview and i heard this kind of effect after the chords is played.

So how do you make this?

This effect exactly;

1. Automate the high frequency level's to around -5.7 decibels and make a steady progression upward's to around +2.5 Decibels for around 15 second's.

2. Add a compressor with a volume thresh hold of -3 and side chain a MIDI controller or Drum machine to 'pulsate' it to a 4x4 pattern, turn the attack rate all the way down and the release rate all the way up.

3. Put two square head synth input's into whatever synth machine that your using, one (Preferably the main one) into a lower octave like - 2, this give's it that "Deadmau5" Typical Big house bass-y feel, and the second on to +2, to add equalization, put the all around filter frequency to about half and make the machine into a Legato style(To add the cord's.

4. Add a drum beat, also 4x4, and make the filter frequency and volume automate at the same time as the synth itself, it make's the song seem cooler than it actually is.

It sounds to me more like he just sent the synth to a reverb bus with no dry output, then sidechained the synth with the reverb so the reverb would duck whenever the synth played.

There could possibly be some filter modulation done with peak following, but I'm not sure I hear it.

This is exactly what he did, sidechain the reverb out of the dry signal.

Its really simple too. Add a return bus and put the reverb on it with what a longer decay time and 0% dry signal, add a sidechain compressor after the reverb and use the synth track as the carrier.
