To answer the original question, since I use FL Studio, I can't really give you any suggestions on what to switch to, but I hear a lot of good things about Ableton. I have a couple of friends who use Reason and love the crap out of it, but it gets real cluttered and is a bit much for folks who are new to music. Not a fan of Reason, myself.

I've also heard good things about Cubase, but I'm not even entirely sure what it looks like, myself.

Acid Pro is also quite capable as well. I don't feel it gets enough credit around these parts. It's also pretty cheap! (Relatively speaking)

Really it's all up to you and what clicks. Just try things, man. That's how it's done.

Happy end of the world there all of you human's with pony profile picture's.

If this is even still open, I recomend REASON 5

Why?

Because It take's me like 2 hour's to make a song and I've only had like 3 out of the 10 pony song's I made not get featured on that website...

EQD! yeah that's it.

Just sayin..

I would encourage you to write a real recommendation, describe the wrokflow and how it works with you. Saying you make songs in two hours and more often than not they make it too EQD has nothing to do with the DAW.
