I have a hard time coming up with good melodies. Once I finally get a good one after days of work, I can usually make a good song that works around it. But yeah, finding that initial melody is where I really struggle.

If that's the case, we should team up, because I get melodies on the fly, but get stuck next.
I mean, I have, what, maybe 25 (probably a lot more idk) melodies that I'm stuck with.

I'm currently having trouble getting fullness in the midrange on my master tracks, it always sounds a bit too pushed in and not strong enough. Idk why, it's just an issue I've been having recently. Mastering problems, ya know?

I have a ton of trouble finishing stuff.

Like, I start messing around and start something awesome, but I usually set it aside and end up never working on it again.

I find I have more troubles singing, writing lyrics, leveling vocals, and all that more than anything. I'm no vocalist which is not too good considering I write most of my tracks with lyrics in mind.

Why don't some of you guys just collaborate with some vocalists?

Brevity, more than anything. It's not usually a problem, because I make music in a genre that's ambivalent about brevity, but when I want to make something poppy, I have to struggle to make stuff no longer than it need be.

On that you should ask others to help you maybe, or perhaps collab.
Same with me recruiting people for my Omnitronic project since I can't produce everything on my own.

I have a tendency to loose faith in my work, and it will often take an inspiration (no matter what the size) to save them. Even then, I will usually get stuck listening to it on repeat over and over and over...

I have exactly the opposite problem. I almost never have enough focus/ideas to come out with anything longer than... 4 minutes. The odd exception now and again that gets to 5 or even 6, but longer than that... never managed.

Currently, it's the final mix down. I'm having trouble with my mid-ranges being to overbearing rather than sitting nicely. I need to invest in some monitors :3
Also, it's making smooth leads, and using the same basic chordal arpeggios in all my tracks (although I am getting better)

Contrary to seemingly everyone else, I can mix+master pretty well.
Contrary to seemingly everyone else, I CANNOT create good dubstep basslines. Y'know, the ones with like 4/5 different basses and loads of different modulation and stuff goin' on. Man, I struggle.

Aaargh me too. I end up using the same patch but modulating it to tits. I can never figure out how to get different sounds to flow.
Then again I prefer minimal stuff anyways so :3
