Do you have a legitimate copy?

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling, first xD Um, after that, You could try putting it in your VST plugins folder

I trust you, but you can never be too sure:

c/program files (x86)/vstplugins?

no i put all my vst's into a folder on my desktop, then told ableton to use that folder. it reads all my other vst's just not that one.

I have no idea which version I have, but a friend of mine was having installation problems as well. The version we have runs as a stand-alone and a VST. It is important to keep it in the original path which would be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Native Instruments\Massive
For us.
I suggest moving it and having your DAW detect it from that folder.
It is the only thing I can suggest, sorry if I didn't help.
Check out my stuff.

Try moving it to its folder like Regret said, and if that doesn't work try c/program files (x86)/vstplugins

Trying things never hurt.

Completely uninstall, and get a different <REDACTED>

I could try to find the one I . . . "obtained" it from and link to you in an email

This is so odd, as I have the EXACT SAME VERSION, down to the dates. Mine works fine. Are you sure you followed the instructions carefully?
