A Stickied Technique Thread

Postby Navron » 07 Jan 2012 10:11

Awhile ago I stumbled across the Dubstep Bible, and thought that we might benefit from something similar to it, considering there's a lot of golden posts in the technique section that get lost among the pages.

Basically, it would be a TOC style thread, with a link to each technique thread for a specific area.

As a short example:

MLR Music Guide

Mastering:
Overview
Compressing a Master Track
General Mastering Tips

Live Instrument Recording
1
2
3

Dubstep Techniques
1
2
3

Drums
1
2
3

Vocals
1
2
3

etc.

Would anybody be down to create something like this? Perhaps share your links here to some particularly good threads, and I'll work on creating an actual guide that can be stickied in the future.

I've got the two guides and Voodoo's fat kicks thread, off the top of my head. I'll go hunt for links.

EDIT: Found the guide-y types.
Circuit's LMMS Tutorial
Achieving Fat Kicks
Getting Started with Singing!
Guide to Twelve-Tone Music
Guide to Microphones
