Oh, oh! I do that!
I've been playing for seven years (with lessons) and would consider myself average? I don't want to say I'm good, but above average actually.
Mainly I play classical, baroque, etc. but I also mess around with pop hits and jazz.

Practice, practice, fucking practice is the key.

I took piano lessons for 12 years and play for 17 years now. I've played songs from renaissance to modern rock and learned to improvise. I consider myself as a good pianist.

It's important that you don't have to make yourself sit down at the piano, the piano needs to make you WANT to play it. When I do so and press a few keys I'm lost in another world and my hands do something independent from my thinking. ;)
