In your case specifically StormWolf, I liked the really happy songs you did (Octavia's Ballad and Random Sketch), and then you did a month of dubstep/harsher electronic. One isn't better than the other, and obviously you can make what you want to make, but I'm sad whenever a WIP appears on your soundcloud and it happens to be in the genre(s) I don't like.

Yep, genre boundaries is really something the music world as a whole needs to get rid of. Genres by itself, ain't nothign wrong with it. If I say I'm making a DNB track everyone knows what I'm talking about. But when people get upset is when you start using dubstep or harddance elements in your dnb, then suddenly you're a loser and a crap musician and whatnot and the labels will frown upon you...

fuck i have to deal with this shit just within Hip-Hop SUB-genres

niggas go wild for a lame Lex Luger knock-off I made in 15 minutes, then I play some cool jazz rap shit and suddenly I'm getting weird looks and passive aggressive responses lol smfh
