Remix = same vocals or melody, different arrangement. For me, just follow my basic pattern and you're good. Also, for the style swap, it's still an original, just in my style.

You create an original piece in the style of the other person, whilst they create an original piece in the style of you. Remixes have absolutely nothing to do with it.

This is just for the "challenge track" in Remix War IV. The main track (which is optional) is a straight remix of someone else's track, while the challenge track is to create an original song in the style of another person and vice versa.

Though I don't see anything wrong with smooshing the two ideas together in one track.
I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.

THAT IS ALL.

Yep, two seperate ones: One remix, one style swap. I'm actually doing more than one (adding a collab in there) because we have more time this round.

I am really in doubt. I can try doing somepony's else style, but I'm not sure that anyone is interested in imitating my style. What shall I do?

Anyway, I would prefer to do NightColt's style.

A: If you absolutely positively cannot contact another brony, you can do a surprise emulation. Don’t use this as a way out, though - endeavour to find a partner!

Andy Feelin - I'd love to swap. I think. I'm pretty sure it's been said we can fuse our own style to the other person's, right?

Sort of. You can put your own little twist on it, but overall it has to closely emulate the other person.

Adding you to the list right now...

You can't do fucking B# augmented minor sevenths with two channels anyway. And I'd NEVER use them. EVER.

I think you all mistook me a little. By 'your own twist', I mean you could still use progressions you like to use, or pitch bending or some other stupid technique. That doesn't mean you can stick a whole load of guitars into some orchestral shit, for example.

The whole objective, as such, is to make a song that convinces people that it was in fact made by the person you've emulated. Hence 'emulation' and not 'mash up'.
