Who ever is sorting the list: Mumble and I are going to do a collab. :)

EDIT: Whomever has the task of maintaining the compendium of collaborators: Sir Mumble and myself shall be jointly endeavouring to produce a musical extravaganza during this competition. Smiley face.

Sorry about that. I'm exhausted and couldn't remember who was organizing off the list off the top of my head. My sincerest apologies for both forgetting you were organizing, and failing to use correct English. I've fixed it above.

I've been lurking the forum since it went up, I just like to sit back and watch the party ; - ;

ALSO, I am open to a second collab should anypony desire, but I want to finish the Circutfry matchup thingy first. DOUBLE ALSO I am also a terrible person to deal with for any extended period of time so keep that in mind.

catmilly: You posted! I've been waiting for you to post for weeks!!! XD

And wow guys, this is getting super active! Crazeh!
I don't have any advice to offer other than, well... PinkiepieSwear and I have been trying to figure out how to go about doing this, but we decided to just let the song evolve on is't own as we make several passes over it going back and forth.

A good way to think about it is like this thread on polycount:
http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71835

I'm not saying that this is the right way. But it's a good way if you're stumped!

I was just looking at that Polycount thread, and it seemed really cool.. Why don't we try something similar? One person posts a WAV, other people add and mess with it!

I'm a beatboxer. Either take or leave it, I've been doing it long enough so you can at least expect something somewhat good out of me~

Hello all, I'd like to collab with someone!

Mostly I want to do something using my bass guitar. I can also sing, play keys, etc. If anyone's interested, PM me!

To WoodenToaster & Aussie & Pustuliooooo: send me some stuff via PM! Also tell me what you're planning, if anything! If it seems we could sync up well, it's a green light!

Also I pretty much only use Reason since my compy crashed, but I CAN use FL Studio (I'll just have to redownload), and SOME Ableton Live.

Seeking to Collab!

Postby penguindf12 » 13 Jul 2011 23:25

[admin note: just merged your post into this one, since it's the official partner finding thread, so no worries]

Hm, I don't know if this is okay, posting a new topic like this, but here we go! (I scored previous threads for rules regarding this, but didn't see any... apologies if this is out of line, feel free to delete)

I'm looking for someone to collaborate with for the upcoming War - I'd like to collab for both the "normal" track AND the "bonus."

I use Propellerhead Reason for electronic stuff. I can also play any standard "rock" instrument live, and can sing pretty well (I think).

My previous stuff: http://www.youtube.com/user/penguindf12

Please PM me ASAP if even mildly interested!

Oh Toaster, if I knew I could handle three collaborations I'd jump at this chance.

Alas, I don't think I can. It makes me happy that you're gonna participate though.

SINGING?!

As far as singing goes I thought I would enjoy doing that for other ponies and it would be considered collaboration.

SO! for reference: if anypony wants me to sing in their song, I have pretty decent English, Italian, and German diction. I know people that could help me with Russian and Spanish. My vocal range (using scientific pitch notation of course... don't look at your keyboard or your piano app. the register numbers are often off an octave for some reason) is G2-G4 full voice and I have a nice counter-tenor (it sounds like a woman singing in this voice... which is what it is supposed to sound like) voice that ranges from about E4-C5 to be safe. My counter-tenor voice can easily sound good beyond that range, but it depends if it is a good day or not. don't expect me to sing outside the range of F2-G5, because it is uncommon that I ever sing outside of it and sound good (my falsetto can extend upward and I think I've gone up to a high B flat and sounded half-decent before... but it is not a guarantee that I will be able to ever get a chance to use it in a two week period)
I wish I could post a link of me singing my repertoire, but I don't have any recordings of myself doing that yet. This is mostly because I haven't found time to make accompaniment tracks.

Every brony has a counter-tenor voice. it is a matter of finding it and mastering it. (So I assume... but it may be one of those things like perfect pitch... which I know you can't really develop like I think you can develop a counter-tenor voice)

Sounds awesome, but it's kinda risky to do another collab. Maybe I'll make it in time.
So if you're willing to take the risk, I would gladly help you on your magical beatboxing adventure throu the collab land ;)
