Assuming there will be a round four, I think we should get this figured out pretty quick, amirite?

Since collaborations are now a new feature for us, we can always choose to collab, but what will we do different for round 4? Will we choose a pony to make an original (Applejack srsly needs more songs imo)? Will it be a song about a fansite (Celestia Radio or EqD or Ponychan or summat)? Will it be completely out of the box and something even more fresh?

Cat and I used a Dropbox and left messages for each other in either text notes or Youtube PMs, mostly the latter.

Markingdude and I had Skype meetings. Either way works fine.

Friendoffs are cool and all boring. I found myself stuck for a decent thing to leech off anyway.

Collabs have been a weird thing. They were a possibility that nobody took in RWI, then we (I) completely removed them in RWII, and then we completely brought them back in RWIII. SO WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?! Having them as the RWIV theme would be silly though.

Interpretation themes were cool.

Whatever happens, I'd like to be under some sort of guide. 'Write a theme for Trixie' is good as I have a clear target but I can still be creative with it. 'Write a song in collaboration' has no real target other than 'write a song'.

I'm always up for whacking out my British British voice and attempting to sing. It won't end well though. (ALTHOUGH 'HAVE A SONG WITH LYRICS' HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS NOTED ABOVE WETIUDGUUSDGJFIADGFI)

I like the idea of a clearer objective. Telling a story so-to-speak. Interpretations are a lot of fun.

Maybe the challenge could be to do a remix of a remix. Or even deeper.

I like the idea of an interpretation more than just a collaboration. A friend-off is fine, because it's making music for a fanfic (or a drawing, or whatever).

I remember someone last time mentioned doing a theme for a place. "Make a theme for a place that has been seen in the show." Or, if you want it to be more specific, then we could pick a place, but I kind of like the idea of people choosing their own place more than anything.

WELL, straight-up remixing the actual show by itself has been off limits until now, right? That might be a good one. Maybe it lacks a clear objective, but some might argue that ROCKING OUT is a clear enough objective for them.

I extremely love the idea of composing originals with pony-related lyrics (our fandom really lacks those, with few exceptions like Luna or Pony Swag). But yes this will really leave out the people who can't or don't want to sing.
And about other suggestions... I'm so slow, what is a friend-off???
