A word in your ear, musicians.

You people have heard of a guy named "The Luceds" right? Well, I'm not certain of this, but he's been stealing a lot of his tracks from http://blog.petriform.com/post/51261637963/a-tentative-list-of-my-works-that-have-been-renamed-and
Again, not sure if true, but just so you know. I put this in the sharing part because technically, I'm sharing this with you. Hue. But yeah.

Yes it's true. Lucedes has been stealing music. Why anyone would do that, I don't know. It's a very evil thing to do...

What astounds me is why people would just add pony samples to it.
I remember these two "musicians" who took Noisestorm's music, added pony samples and terrible mixing and called it original work. Ugh.

How people can do this sickens me. Musicians put in hundreds of man hours to get good at what we do, and for someone to steal your own creation and brand it as their own (and make money) is basically a huge "fuck you" to the music industry.

Wow. Not the first time it's happened, and I doubt it'll be the last. I like how you can't find the songs he stole from petriform on his youtube channel anymore, lol

As said in that very blog post:
pertriform wrote:It is very, very, incredibly obvious that Luceds is using stolen music and the giant My Little Pony fandom as a platform to personal profit at the expense of hours of hard work of others.

Having a huge fandom willing to give you, as an unknown artist, a chance just because you write music about the same show they watch can be quite tentative.

Anyway, this is an awful thing to hear, though I don't know the artist nor like the genre in first place.
oops I dropped the bass

Yep it's a terrible thing for someone to do so glad you posted about it here. To think a guy with 350 subs may have done the same with possibly other tracks makes it even worse. You never know if it's a single occurrence or that's all they've do.

Another musician did the same thing awhile back called PrK and it sounds like they just operate as another alias now...

If you wanna remix someone just call it a remix and give credit where its due for crissakes.

I think they'd have to confront the dude to find out. You never know if this was a one time occurrence or part of a pattern on continual theft. That's why putting people on these comps who don't frequent the boards kinda ....sucks.

There's a good chance that if he's stolen more than one song, and it's proven, that all his songs are stolen. I remember a while ago (and I don't remember the youtuber's username) some guy was stealing pony songs and claiming them as his own. It was very obvious too, he was stealing some of the most popular pony songs ever made.

I've known this guy for about 5 months, and I was pretty hurt when I found out that he had been stealing his music. He was probably my closest friend and I talked with him every day. We had plans to collab on a song. I'm sure a lot of you are mad at him just for stealing the songs, but I'm perhaps even more mad. You see, I found out about this whole Petriform thing before anyone else did, as I saw the comment on Equestria Daily of the guy accusing him of stealing. So I went on over to skype and asked him this:
Wisp on Skype at 5/13/13 3:42 PM wrote:I saw some comments on the EQD music of the day post that had your new song on it, and some anon accused you of stealing stuff from this guy called Petriform, and he linked to some petriform.com website that sure enough had the song you just released and your Rainbow & Rooted song on it. Are you petriform? Lol I'm just curious xD

And he responded:
Luceds on Skype at 5/13/13 3:48 PM wrote:I am petriform, but I made this account for some kind of pony releated music but that kinda didn't work out so I just made Orchestral kinda music and some other songs with a friend of mine (and remade some songs). And no problem for being curious, I can understand it! I just never wanted people noticing about my pony account (I just posted a little Tweet on Twitter and deleted it then) but someone obviously found it out. ^^''

So not only did he steal the songs, but he lied to me and told me that he was Petriform. That's not just stealing but also impersonation in a way.
After 5 months, I thought I knew him, but I guess he was just lying about the whole time.
