Need help picking songs to play at a school assembly!!

Postby randomblockfilms » 17 Apr 2013 12:06

ok i'm sorry for making a some what ridiculous/whining/begging post but i needs a little help.

so basically i am the music guy for this dodgeball tournament we are having at my school and i need around 200 songs to play for the event to provide energy for the crowd and the dodgeball players. I have never done anything like this of the sort before.

my lack of knowledge of well known producers and songs is kinda not helping me. but maybe you can!

you dont have to give me like 100 songs, just recommend a few that you would think that would be appropriate at an school event thing like this. the type of music im sortof thinking is like energetic, upbeat, clean, pump-it-up sortof dance songs. an example would be like AVICII - Levels.

and i might plug in Archie's "Love is in Bloom remix" too :P

yes i know i may sound like some whiney kid but im just curious to see what you guys would recommend. the more songs the marryer! :D

Take my advice with a grain of salt as i too am learning how this music stuff works

Aha, I suppose you're looking for that commercial kind of House, seeing your example of Avicii. I think I surely can help with that. I got some songs for you that may be appropriate, you'd have to look at that yourself though. Also I picked pretty much random numbers, including classics and less known songs, and songs from several genres.

Here are a few songs to get you started (note, some songs are extremely hard to get @320kbps, but I have them, so if you need them just ask me):
Scot Project - C1 / C2
Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling (David Guetta Remix)
The Ian Carey Project - Get Shaky
Chris Brown & Benny Benassi - Beautiful People / Beautiful People (Ill Phil & Lorenzo Remix)
Chris Gresswell - Bombs Over Capitals
Brainless - Stoemp
Delta Heavy - Empire
ENiGMA Dubz - You Make Me Feel
Darius Syrossian - My Side Project
Flashmob - Need In Me
The Booty Jocks - Magic Melody (Hardtrance Mix) (I'm sorry but I couldn't find a better link)
Simmons ft. Fio - Do You Wanna Funk 2K11 (Spacekid vs Riju Holgerson Big Room Remix) (this isn't the full version)
Global Disco Rockerz ft. Lori Glori - The Party Must Go On (Daniel Ayari Enstereo Mix) (once again, couldn't find better link)
Pulsemaster DJ Team ft. Mike Van Doorn - My Passion (Mike Van Doorn Trouce Mix) (ignore the video - this is not the full version)
Dirty Ztylerz ft. Stay C - Good Time (Enrico Bariello Remix)
666 vs Tag Team - Whoomp (Supadupafly) (Brooklyn Bounce Remix)
eXsess - That Feeling
Geck-O - Soul Train
Gammer - Chainsaw (Matt Lee Remix)
Rokko Tronic & DelaForce - Super Jam
Ferry Corsten ft. Ben Hague - Ain't No Stoppin'
Zedd - Shotgun (Organ Donors Rework)
Omnia & IRA - The Fusion
Andy Richmond - Sample This Bitch (Brent Sadowick Remix)

If you want more, or if you want more in a certain style (like one of the songs I just provided), just give me a shout. My library is so big, I should have at least something that's useful for you :P

Also, this sounds really cool! Good luck!

EDIT - oh god, I might have overdone myself a tiny tad bit *sheepish smile*

If you're playing Flight, you better mix it with Assertive Fluttershy's Boo Hoo, they are so similar:

Also, Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)

I dare you.

"provide energy for the crowd and the dodgeball players. "

Drum and Bass and Trancehouse for breakdowns. Look into Armin Van Buuren's A State Of Trance compilations and Hospitality Records Compilations (try ASOT 2011 and Hospitality Summer 2012)
