So I'm planning to go to Vegas this summer for a RedCube recording session, originally gonna do a remix for the Feed Me song 'One Click Headshot', but now have something else planned for it instead.

I remember this from forever ago. That was a neat little web series. Feed me actually never asked them to use the sample, which I think is pretty shitty of him and makes me wonder what he actually is getting permission to use. Which is strange to me because Jon is a really cool guy.

They came to a nice little agreement, but only after the pure pwnage guys called him on it.

Dude, it's an old video. That one is a low quality copy, despite what it says. I doubt Feed Me thought they would care.

Well he thought wrong, which is why people shouldn't assume it'll be okay. It's not really all that hard to track them down and ask permission. It's not like they're terribly popular or anything, but they could have sued his ass for royalties and made an okay amount of money off of it since Feed Me is pretty popular at current. (more popular than the now defunct Pure Pwnage anyway.)

It was handled really civilly actually.

Honestly, when it comes to sampling in music (TO THIS DEGREE), I don't think people should care as much as they often do.
