A New Age of Ascension (Guitar Demo)

Well, here goes nothing...

I've been playing guitar for several years and accumulated pages and pages of riffs, but I'm only now starting to put them together into songs. I'm in a band with some friends from school, but since scheduling is so hard we only have a couple of hours a month to write and practice songs. So I decided to become part of this community and start writing songs for all you ponyfolk.

Anyway, enough with the backstory! Have at you!



This verison was made on a Macbook with the built-in mic and Garageband. My brother is going off to college, so I'm going to be setting up some decent recording equipment in his room soon.

I'm not sure what genre it fits into, but I think it would work well with an alternative singing style, like PrinceWhateverer's.

I haven't really worked the details yet, but the theme is going to involve an Earth pony whose best friend,a Pegasus, was sent to flight school, so they build their own wings despite being discouraged by everypony else. It's probably not such an original idea- knowing our fandom, there are probably a million fanfics with that storyline that I haven't read- but I really like the idea.
