Long story shot, I'm looking for remixes for an EP I'm going to release. Three of my friends said they'd do remixes, and I figured I'd open up another slot for you fine folks here to remix, maybe. The EP will be released on January 3rd, 2013, but for the sake of having time, all remixes are due January 1st.

The album will be up for purchase at $2.50, priced at 50 cents for each original song and 25 cents for each remix.

Notes -
- When your remix is finished, upload it to SoundCloud and embed it in a post here.

- Make sure downloads are enabled, and that the audio you upload is a 320 KBS MP3.

- If you go by a different artist name than your MLR or SoundCloud username, be sure to include it in the title. i.e. My SoundCloud and MLR username is just 'NeonJalapeno,' so if I were to upload a remix, the title would be "Cynicism (Neon Jalapeño Remix)"

- You can have "remix titles," such as "Cynicism (Neon Jalapeño's Spicy Remix)", but don't get out of hand and make it "Cynicism (Neon Jalapeño's Glowing Noble Gas and Spicy Pepper Remix)"

- If you are not on the remixer queue, you can STILL submit a remix; if one or more people on the queue do not submit, outside submissions will be selected first come first serve. Outside submissions are absolutely closed on 1/2/13.

- Please promote the album; when it's out on January 3rd, include a link in your remix description!

1. It was $3.00 - $4.00. Although I'm sure this was a simple typo on your part, selling an EP for $400 would be a lot.

2. I fail to see how it getting rejected from EQD in any way affects the 'worth' of the song. My song "Yarr, Pirates" was utter garbage, but it was accepted by EQD, so their standards are pretty off.

3. Regardless, fuck it. It'll be released for free.

Personally I think you should keep it at $3-4, maybe $2-3 minimum. However, if you do decide to do the "free" route, then at least have it set up as "pay what you want, no minimum limit" so that it's free, but people can pay if they want.

Dude, there are EP's out there by "professionals" going for 11+ dollars, that are compiled of one original and about five remixes of said original, plus a bonus track or two (*coughcough*Skrillex's More Monsters and Sprites EP*coughcough*). And EqD is a terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE, guage of quality. No offence to EqD, but it's not a good way to tell what is and isn't a good song.


Now, as for the remixing part of this, I've been watching Floamo's Producer MasterClass videos for inspiration. This will be interesting.
